would it be ok to get a block from a 2000 explorer that had a roll over? the engine bay was untouched. the miles were 135,987. the wrecking yard wants $188 for it. i ask this because people say an engine isnt good after a roll over. is that true?

Even if the block was trash, you could sell the GT40P heads and intake manifold for more than $188. Or use them on your own Mustang. Both items are easy bolt on upgrades. Some gaskets and a set of GT40P compatible headers and you have what you need to do the swap and pick up 20-40 HP.
Unsure if i'd want to start out with a 140K mile block.
The heads, intake and TB alone are worth more than $188 though. I'd buy it.
Only reason the engine would be damaged in a roll-over is if it was upside down and the engine was running with no oil reaching the pump. Usually the inertia switch cuts it off anyway the second it goes over.

ok. i have an explorer block already but then ran across another one. just wanted to know the effects of a rollover. but if i were to just rebuild it on a stand would it be good to change the rod and main bearings?
