So i've been away for a few days because of a sudden spur of the moment stroker purchase. I had planned on getting my car painted with my tax refund money, but a local guy decided to put a big block Chevy engine in his racecar so he sold me his 347 and the deal was just too good to pass up. I thought i was done with my engine for a while and i was happy with the times it was running but i've been wanting to rebuidl it really bad...so i started looking at what it would cost me to just hone the cylinders and put in new rings and bearings and by the time i did all that i would've spent half of what i spent on this 347 so i couldn't pass it up.
So anyways...i don't really do project threads...my car is too ugly to go around strutting off pics of it, so here's just a quick cell phone pic of the block before i dropped it in. I've always wanted a red engine but i'm really happy with how the Ford blue turned out.
Oh, the engine itself has Eagle crank and rods, forged SRP pistons (comes out to 9-9.5:1 with my heads), Anderson Ford Motorsports N91 cam, ARP everything, windage tray, 7qt pan..etc. With Dart heads it ran 10.50s all motor...my heads i'm sure don't flow quite as well but i'm expecting mid-high 11s if i can keep from breaking everything.
