I just wish the front bumper had that little molding and the fender extension as part of it. I wish the corners above the headlights where separate from the bumper and part of the fenders. Everything else is normal I don't need the car to be sealed shut for underwater driving I'm just thinking about ideas to make the body more seamless. I love these cars but, putting them together after painting and finish is a lot of work to line up.

That's the 80's for ya. Look around at other cars in the day...body lines and panels all over the place. I agree, makes waxing a HUGE PITA.
My G35 is so clean and sleek. I can wax that think in a few hours. Nothing but smooth panels or rounded corners.

Prob is if you do molded bumpers then you need the matching fenders which remove the moldings and then possible new door skins. Changing only the bumpers is going to look incomplete. You basically need to do the entire body to make it look right.
I know some guys have done it themselves and it looked great, but you are right, if someone made front and rear bumpers that removed the belt molding then it would be a start.

Buy an old corvette, then all you have is doors and a hood unless you have a gen 2 then you'll have a trunk type deal.
