Hehe, now we're having a technical discussion.
You would be surprised at how simple my combo is really:
Stock block/bottom end
Stock Cam
Exploder intake($120)
Stock TB
TFS Heads(got em used for $620, used a Paypal 10% coupon on Ebay..LOL)
But I see where you're coming from. I've just never been impressed with the PD blowers on the pushrod stuff considering the price you have to pay for it. It works and they are super fun(I do have a Lightning also) but they just don't seem to flow enough air for a h/c/i 302+ci engine because they don't want to put the effort into it like they have with the modular cars(market demand is the reason why I'm sure) Being that your car is heavier than a fox, the PD blower really helps your car out and is fun I'm sure. Not knocking it at all, just got to remember that 95% of people really care about track performance for their $$$ and I feel you can do better for the $$$ when comparing the Roots/Twin Screw blowers to other options for the pushrod cars.
Here is a video of my car on the dyno. Watch the boost gauge(middle one) and you'll see how much it "lags". Remember, this is on the dyno in 4th gear and lower RPM...imagine it on the street in say first or second...laggy as hell!!!!
