Is this fox a good deal?

Wow I need to go to Cali for my next car! That car would go over $10k here no problem.. I paid $2000 for my stock 89 that sat in a feild for 5 years

You need to live where I do. I paid $700 for mine and it sat for 6 years. Threw a battery in it and it started up. Ran like crap, though, and trans was taken apart.

Also, there's a :Mustang Graveyard" in my town with over 6 fox Mustang's laying around so if I need anything, I can easily get it.

Anyways OP, I would go for it. Sounds like it would be a very nice ride. Shame that it is a convertible. Do what a couple others have said, buy a roller and swap everything over. Either way you're gonna have a Mustang and that's always good! ;)

I would say get it, if you don't like it, flip it for more money or part it out. If you parted it out, you will probably get more than what you would selling it in whole. Then buy parts for your '02. I mean, personally, you live in Cali, the vert wouldn't hurt, but why not drive a built vert and put your '02 under the knife?

Many options if you get it, but if you don't, you may pass up on one of those things we call, "Once in a lifetime deal".

Well, to update

The car is really good shape, almost looks like it rolled off the assembly line via the pictures he showed me as i have yet to go look at it. He has about 5 people interested in buying it but I am first on the list if I want the car. We discussed the price and the original price of $3500 was without the Novi 2000 (currently off the car for a belt change and polish) and extra parts which include 3 to 4 crates of stuff. Price with the blower on the car, and all the extras in his garage, is a about $6500ish.

I plan to go look at the car soon, and as far as mods to mine I would blower my car along with suspension work and car it a day, I just want 350rwhp in my current car. Anything else and its a plus. However if I choose not to buy this car, he told me to post it on the form and he will give me a sales commission.

Then buy the car you want - not a convertible. I'm not saying it's not worth it. If it's in good shape, it absolutely is still worth it, but you can find other nice foxes for that price and you don't want a vert to begin with.
