I usually tell people to give it about two months for the solvents to get out. Use a natural wax for awhile, like carnuba. The chemicals in regular waxes don't always play well with fresh paint.

Congrats on the payments....errr...new Mustang 5.0. I too would love to have one and when I looked at a 2015 GT 5.0 CS version in person at a dealer and sat in it I fell in love!! The interior is super nice and love the feel of the bucket seats. I don't really like how small the windows are which makes it difficult to see out of the car in most of the view but it's something I could adjust to. Just need to find a good deal and I might be able to justify it too. The real hard part is I may have to give up my current Fox to make it happen.
How could I not love this car, check out that ASS! Ruby red with black accents FTW!

Thanks Dave. I work at a chemical plant/refinery and there is nonstop overspray from the cooling towers and paint. I was hoping to get something on it to protect it.. Guess I'll wait.

You know, I'm 6'1" and it's really not that bad. Kick the seat back, telescope the wheel out... Fits nice. Daddy likey!
Congrats! I love that color! I almost bought one last year(it was gray though) but got a truck instead(need the 4 wheel drive/towing capability). I'm jelly of you boys in the south that can DD these cars 12 months a year.
I'm 6'-3". A lot of the newer cars seem to have more blind spots and long sloped windows which makes the view out of the car much smaller. I think a lot of it are the air bags that are in every pillar in newer cars. I guess the rear view camera helps make up for the blind spots.

The small windows is a problem with the taller doors and stuff due to gubment regulations AFAIK.
Yeah, tough time for a new paint job. The carnuba wax would be ok, it'll give it a layer without messing with your paint job.
Congrats on the new car. I drove one and clutch feel aside, it's easily one of the best cars I've ever driven. It feels like a mustang but handles like a BMW. It's the car Ford should have made 10 years ago. If I can sell that black hole of a house I own back home I'd be in one tomorrow.
That is an incorrect statement. Mustang does not " handle" like a BMW.

The 2016 Mustang GT, despite being a great car is no BMW when it comes to handling. Simply reading Car and Driver or Road and Track will testify to that. The current S550 chassis sports a 54/46% front end weight bias. It was a review in one of those two magazines that stated that that 54 percentile front end weight resulted in a nose heavy plow into a corner that had to be corrected with gas pedal.
Trust me when I tell that I'm a Ford guy. I just happen to talk about BMW's all day long. So in that respect, I also know a little about those cars.
Despite stating that I'll probably lease an M2 when they become more available, the fact of the matter is that that will never happen. (they'll never become more available). The realistic objective for me is now a direct competitor for a Mustang GT BMW M 235.

I'm on vacation at Aransas Pass Tx. It's the family's annual offshore fishing trip. There is a historical spot here where FDR used to come n the 30s and 40s to catch tarpon. I'm staying onshore with an uncle and drinking while the fam goes offshore. Back won't allow the trip out.
