Btchin' grocery getter, huh?I borrowed a friend's cheap 110v welder to add Roush axle back mufflers on the ass of the Charger, I mean my new to me ship setting sail.I also have speakers to replace, and need to take it for a test drive and fine tune my transmission controller. In stock form, the car shifts very smooth and boringly (if that is a word...). I bought a controller that lets me manually shift through the volume +/- buttons on the steering wheel, adjust shift firmness for both up and down shifts, scale it to throttle position, etc. I want to feel the 425 hp/420 tq damn it! Also, glad to hear/assume all is well with the wifey since you are back home from the ER. May not be your favorite person in the world anymore, but obviously you care enough that you dont want anything bad to happen to her.
I was in Maryland back in the mid eighties when I was in the army. I was playing soldier boy in the Carolinas for awhile. Got to know you forests better than I would have thought I wanted. Lot harder to figure things out in the middle of the night there than you might think, picked up on it after awhile though.

T-Bird SC made like 215hp, and 315 ftlbs tq. through OEM stuff at OEM boost levels.
Ported heads,....some aftermarket cam,...better exhaust,....ported blower (Ask Steve how to do that)
300/400 maybe?????
Or a turbo,..into the blower.......just think what you may be able to do w/ 3.8 liters...
I'm almost hoping that my head gaskets are blown, that means the heads need to come off, well, and since I'm there......

That adhesive is great. I used it to glue the back bumper on my project. The sides on the quarter panel are stuck on with two sided tape.
Gotta work super fast with that stuff though. I found out that this stuff sticks to urethane like super glue on dirty fingas.
It took a lot of prep to bond to my repop front bumper though. Had to sand it with 80 grit to get a nice tooth.
Oh brother, you just don't know how versatile these little V6's are. Some 351 Cleveland rods, a crank from a 4.2 V6. What the hell, that cute little blower from the super coupe!theres a guy around here with a 2004 3.9l (same as the 3.8 with a touch more stroke) mustang with a nitrous kick that runs low 12's/high 11's. says its only like a 100-150hp hit (yeah, i believe that). it's gutted, but still impressive.
I just love the sound of a V8. I can get a complete 5.0 drivetrain from the yard owner for less than a grand, including the 8.8 rear end. Here's the catch though, it'll be dirty. So what will I do? Well, I'll just clean it is all, right? But since I have the engine out, why not go ahead and change the timing gears, it just make sense.
Ok, so maybe a cam, that's easy, right? Now that I have those heavy heads off, well, here's a chance to really see a brand new pair of AFR 185 heads! That stock intake won't work with that, better call Edelbrock, do I want to stay carbureted? Quickfuel does offer a blow through carb.....but with that much power I'll need a forged bottom end, then again, why, the block won't take it so I better get a dart block, but if I'm going to do that, why not just go for a 351 block.....They'll handle 800hp without blinking, since they'll handle that, well of course I should try to use the best twin turbos that I can't afford. And since those little turbos can handle 550hp each I should have a dart 351 block, right?
And who says I should just have 351ci's? since I have a nice dart or FRPP block, why not just go ahead and go for a 427 (no replacement....)?
I have a problem (maybe two), I'll be the first to admit it. I'm trying to think that the little old Essex V6, all by it's lonesome, will be good. Not great, mind you, but good. If I take that next little step, I'm afraid I'll be explaining to a judge that the car isn't finished and represents no value to be shared with what would be my soon to be ex.

Yep 4747 is super speedy. Using a heavy grit sandpaper is important , but it just makes sense when you think about it.

A correctly ported M90 which is not difficult to do I can send you pics with an overdrive pulley I think I used a 1.9 inch the stock is 3 inch on my 306 makes 9 to 10 psi. On the 3.8 the three inch pulley makes 12 PSI with a 1.9 inch pulley you'll be seeing around 20 pounds of boost give or take if we do the math that put you in the 300 rear wheel horsepower range on the stock 3.8 motor that's around four hundred foot pounds of torque

Not that I'm seriously entertaining the idea......but.......I assume the sc was a fuel injected piece. I would need lots more than what is being mentioned here. Robby is carburated.
