Good deal! Welcome to the 9.5 deck Mafia! Harbor Freight usually has engine stands an hoists for a good price.
I believe it to be a 1995 engine. I think it is out of a F350. I was looking at the Harbor Freight website yesterday, just not sure if the quality is good. I guess for the money you can't beat it.What year 351 is it?
F4TE Roller block, Nice!I believe it to be a 1995 engine. I think it is out of a F350. I was looking at the Harbor Freight website yesterday, just not sure if the quality is good. I guess for the money you can't beat it.
I bought the engine as a longblock from CPR Racing / Coast High Performance. Just the longblock shipped was around $7.5K.Awesome! Now just to get some extra money without the wife throwing a fit. How much did your machining and what have you cost?
WOW! I hope to not have that much in the whole car at the end of this swap. Only time will tell. Still kind of thinking about ditching the 351 and going turbo.I bought the engine as a longblock from CPR Racing / Coast High Performance. Just the longblock shipped was around $7.5K.
I just caught up to your thread, man. Turbo kits take a lot if work and a lot of supporting parts. Trust me I know. Putting that motor in will allow you to buy parts over time. Upgrade the fuel system and injectors. Even get a ECU like Megasquirt to get your fingers wet tuning the basic motor before the turbo.
The choking point for ford motors has always been on the exhaust side. A little porting there goes a long way. That block should be good for a little north of 700hp...great foundation. Hope everything checks out at the machine shop.

GM family, boy that will get interesting at family functions!
At least you won't get any car parts mixed up!
ha, that's just the motor.... add the trans, all the other parts to complete the engine, plus an original 38,000 mile 95 Cobra roller, fully caged with totally done suspension and you don't want to know!!!WOW! Oh so are some of mine! It's like wrestling with a pig in mud, the more you do it the more you realize the pig likes it!Some of my friends are bow tie fans, it's all good fun.
I made a sign once for my yard that said 'bow ties not allowed', then my friend ran over it and got a flat, it was hilarious.
