It could've been any number of those things,..But it this case it was to go help Thing 2 move into his newly rented apartment..
It's kind of a conflict when kids move out.
Glad to see them get out into the real world and on their own and
The thought that they will probably be back to
A: borrow money so they can stay 'independent'
B: move back in when reality hits
C: do laundry/plunder through the fridge

Are you and Noobz in some private conversation, conspiring to get me to James-Bond-Ify the Monster?

Quit it.

I have to read into that....
I would never flame Droop,....he's one of the original gang of 12. I've brought him over from FEP.
He's Bonafide.

Is that like the Hateful 8 (12)? If I wanted to be hateful, I'd grab a listing for a 93 nose from Craigslist then photoshop it in my garage and go over there and ask for directions on putting it on my 85.

Lots of info over there, just a little over zealous sometimes.

So did you ever find injector clip #6???

Haven't even looked for it. I'm so over the oil leaks,..It's almost better to let the engine sit unstarted. That way it'll stay all nice and clean.

Just like it is right now.

I'm thinkin that there'll be some stikin' leak when i start this thing,.so spending time on getting it run-able is not a high priority.
Hopefully, I'm wrong.

It does look better in black than it did in Orange, that's for sure. The wrinkled prune that is the engine is almostly completely obscured, and only the head is visible, so in the grand scheme,..it'll be OK. Maybe when I get home this afternoon, I'll mess with it some more.

I've been able to figure out that if I move the fast idle port off of the side plate that is on the TB where the IAC is s'posed to go and block that, then drill a new port into the intake itself I'll eliminate the TB whistle. Whether or not it'll whistle when I relocate it, will have to wait and see.

I'm also gonna drill into the elbow that turns into the TB in front, and put a small 1/4" hose barb there, and plumb that into the breather tank so as to suck some of the oil vapor back into the engine. The eerie cloud that wafts out from under the left front fender at idle being the motivator for that. I figure I'll put another 90* 1/4 hose barb on top of the filter on the puke tank and run a hose w/ a one way valve to the other barb ill put into the 90. That way only vacuum will go through that hose and I won't lose any boost pressure. I'll stuff the breather's filter with old scotchbrite pads so the hose wont suck back wet oil, and hopefully I'll have a working PCV system of sorts...

And that'll stay of course depending on how much oil gets sucked back into the engine despite my scotchbrite filtration system.

That, and trying to make that cheap assed manual boost control valve look good are the only things standing in my way from pics, and re-starting this pig.

Stay away from Scotch Brite pads, they contain a harsh abrasive what would be released as the pads deteriorate due to time and heat. Use some wadded up aluminum screen or even better, one of those stainless steel pot scrubber pads.

Well there you go then,...Easy enough to get from the grocery store,..and safe for the engine to breathe through....
Done dealio.

Maybe it's time you quit wasting time with half assed fixes like gaskets and RTV and PVC systems and resorted to chemistry. No, not a couple of fat rails of coke, but the chemical concoction that is:

Don't stare too long because it says concentrate!!

I'll say!
Let's give ol droop the flashing light prize for the most attempts to make a point, then not bothering to clean up the overspill:

You Go Droop! @droopie85gt, Show the rest of them boys how we make a point in Tennessee!;)

Was it just because it was so late (9:55 PM) and you were all groggy from sleep deprivation, or you just wanted to get that said?

Hell Mike, I thought you were more of a country fk or at the very least, anti-social. That's a lot of neighbors. lol

If you get a telescope, you can zoom in on demz weemenz at the old folks home. :nice:

Them: "Oh that reminds me of my late husband's car. His had wheels too."

Look Noobz made a Funny,...And you can understand it! :SN:

I'd bet that if you'd take a poll,..(And if more than 1 would reply), You'd find a large percentage of your contingency are country boys,..way more interested in having to mow ACRES for the sake of having to not deal w/ their neighbors than me.

I will have a small patch of grass in front, a 7'.6" margin down the one side, and a YTD back yard space that will be commensurately small. Behind and beside my garage and driveway will be a community garden, so that all of the neighborhood (12 homes) can grow their own veggies. It's these folks that will get the full benefit of knowing what it is to live next to me.

I can see it now....

Mr MacGregor from lot 13 planting carrots,...and I just had a typical phck up that triggers a thermo-nuclear mental meltdown in my now open garage that is only partitioned off by a measly 6' high fence.

"Breaking News! While planting carrots, Mr. MacGregor suffers head injury after being hit by flying debris, later identified as a car part....Details at 10"

I guess I'll probably have to work on my anger management issues before the move.

I purposely moved to a neighborhood "in the hood". All of the restaurants/bars/and live music venues will be w/i 2-3 miles from me. w/ at least one small coffee shop being walkable. Instead of 18,...work will be 6.5 miles away. Right now, the choice in restaurants are the same that you have. (Outback, Longhorns, Olive Garden, Applebees, etc, etc,) I don't like going out to eat w/ the typical new family where mom and dad let their children run ape-sht through out the restaurant, and the family friendly atmosphere of Hoover is conducive to just that. That coupled to the fact that my kids are grown, and I don't need the traffic that comes w/ living in the burbs, two miles away from the school system that brought us MTV's "2 a days".
Moving downtown puts me in a non-children zone, and there are NO Outbacks, NO longhorns, No Olive Gardens.....Everything is local, and independently owned.

I intend to live my life like they do in Europe. People live longer there because they walk, and they enjoy life more because of it. Being in the thick of it will promote that lifestyle. Additionally I'm going to buy a bike (the kind you pedal) when I move as well. Big city streets w/ designated bike lanes on a flat layout makes riding one easier than it is here where you're likely to get forced off the narrow, non-shoulder roads here by a texting teen ager, or a soccer mom not paying attention to the road.

So,..see Noobz,....You read me wrong. I'm not trying to get away from the neighbors,.....The neighbors try to get away from me.....

All part of the plan...

For some reason mike makes sence, don't ask me why, or maybe it's the lack of coffee this morning.
Today, its because you're as old as me as well. We shouldn't mind that the "new parents" let their kids run up and down the aisles at the local applebees so they can eat and converse with their friends..After all,...kids are gonna be kids...Right?
