Fox Fox Problem

Whats up guys I have an 88 fox that's been giving me issues lately. When I turn it on it'll idle from about 900-1100rpms back and forth and it will drive for a little, but will eventually shut off on me at a redlight or something. I thought it might be my starter because the damn thing was near falling apart so I replaced that and did a tune up getting new spark plugs and wires and distributor cap but it's still doing the same thing. This car is my daily driver so I need it for school and what not, I need your help guys.
