OH MY GOD!! The roller coaster of emotions in this thread!! I had to catch up on quite a few pages.

First of all, I'm so sorry about your brother, Dave. I'm all too familiar with what cancer does to loved ones. You and you family are in my prayers...especially with your wife's recovery. It was so good to hear ...eerr read....that she was treated within the "golden hour" of treating a stroke patient. That's awesome! She will probably make a full recovery!

Now for the ups....The 408 will be awesome, especially with the AFRs and EFI. Look into Stinger PiMPxs for engine management. It has all the features you need to do whatever your little heart can handle. I'll be ordering mine in a couple months. Oh, and it uses MS3 software.

Now for the other low of this thread.....No Kona Blue anymore?!?!?! My heart hit the floor when I read this. It's such a beautiful color(Blue is my favorite color)!! I'm not a fan of green. I like to look at red but I don't want to own a red car. It screams "HEY LOOK AT ME!!!" I'm not that kinda guy. BUT, since this car is turning into a tribute to your brother, Doby's red is very fitting and I like that choice. :nice:

I'm glad you're getting back to it tho, Dave.

Thanks Craig, it has been a little less than optimal lately. That's ok, it's part of life.

Sorry about the blue there buddy, it's got to go. I've seen a couple other t-top coupes that were painted red, so no real originality here. That's Ok, it's a pretty color to me.

Dave, you should grab @Vettn71 's front bumper off the car hes parting out from his 'not a build thread...' since youre repainting and all...
Help me out here Nick. Jim has a lot going on in his thread and I’m not real sure which bumper he’s getting rid of.

If it’s the 85-‘86 bumper, I don’t want that on mine. I’ve learned to really like the ‘83-‘84 style.

Yeah, I was referring to the '85 bumper with the '04 Cobra lower grafted to it.

So what flavor of green are you keen to? Something subdued like Legend Lime. Something like Highland green? Something loud like Grabber Lime Green? Does it have to be metallic? I kind of like this Poppy Green 69 below.

I think reds are kind of overplayed like black. BUT it's your car and it can be a tribute for your brother. BUT, you're using some of his parts and just already everyone here knows it's a tribute to your brother, regardless of final color.

That looks like the new green they're bringing back for the 2019 models.

The green I'm specifically thinking of is the one that's in the picture of the jeep I posted a little ways back. That's the green of the GLX on the hood.

Remember my hood? Here's where i think it'll be a new headache for me.

If I put that 351 in it, even with dropping it a little, won't it contact the hood?

I guess the old hood could be nice wall art:nonono:
