2017 seats are in & I love them!

These are the tmi seats the guy has about an hour away from me. He wants 500 posted but would wiggle down a little

I had two different sets of off brand seats like that and they both had the same issue of being hard. You could sit in them for short periods of time but long was out of the question. They will hold you very well in the seat and TMI materials seem to be very good quality as well. Sorry for the mixed reviews, but depends on what you want to do with the car to pick the right seats.

Yeah I have a feeling comfort wise the mustang seats will be better, and have that original look even though they are from a newer model, plus they actually hug decently. The TMI seats look decent but will probably be less comfortable, as you said a little hard, and I’m not just looking for comfort but more stockish where those have that flat out race seat look. I guess those leather ones are decent I was just worried about the wear on them. My car isn’t a daily driver at all. I found another set out of a 2017 but they are cloth and guy said 350 or best offer, he picked them up from a guy who just bought the car a put in Recaro’s. So they look a little better I guess bc they don’t look like they were sit in as much. Bad thing is the guy is 3 hours away so I’d have to drive. Idk if it’s worth it, even if I got them for 300 that a trip plus gas. Pending more pics but this is what he had up

Get driving and get them! They look clean and you won't regret it one bit!
Ha yes they do, I did like the original premium leather ones but they did seem a little worn, not worse than my originals lol, but def more worn than these right here. Actually talking with the guy on when we can meet up, and whether he’d be willing to drive a little maybe an hour or so. If he is willing to drive I’d offer him what he was asking at 350 which is still a damn good deal on basically brand new seats.

For $350 i'd do it.

I think that material might match the corbeau cloth back seat covering as well
Exactly and I was already looking at those rear seat covers as well. Just got to wait and see what this guy says. He says he comes my way for business sometimes so we are just checking to see when we could meet up.

Maybe Paypal the guy some money as a deposit to let him know you're serious. Make it a business transaction so the money is refundable if the item is not as described or he stands you up.

The 94-98 seats actually had much better bolstering than their 99-04 counterparts.
For sure, no question about it. Our 04 seats suck, No side bolster and your sliding around. :poo:ty pleather seats that crack if you don’t take take of em. I might be late to the party.

ohhh yeah pulled the trigger! Drove about two hours north and luckily the guy drove in from outside of Dallas to meet up so I could grab these bad boys. They are clean! now I just need @FoxMustangLvr @Bossed @Jr's331Notch to help me out and guide me on what I need to do on getting these tracks off these seats. What needs to go? What needs to stay? What is that fluid filled line for? How can I keep what ever electric functionality going such as the lumbar support mainly? Thanks guys I’m ready to get going on these.

Those seats look awesome! Great deal in my opinion. I'm not sure how to keep any electric components. The fluid filled line and sack I believe may be for heating? Not sure, I cut everything out without any regrets. You'll need a good set of torx bits, ratchet wrench, and a screw driver that accepts bits too, a cut off wheel, and some patience. Getting the motors off of the side was the biggest PITA for me, you only have access to 2 of the 3 bolts. I had to pry the motor away and cut/grind the third bolt. Everything else removes easily and cleanly.

Got pretty much all that except the torx bits and patience but at least one of those I can buy.

How did you get this side cover off? I got the two torx screws out but not sure if there is another hidden one etc.

Alright so it has begun but not sure what else needs to go. So there is no way to at least use the lumbar support on these? I know nothing so just making sure. Started with the passenger side just for trial and error rather than jack up the drivers. So got the track off not bad, had to use the cutting wheel on one section bc I couldn’t figure out how to get that bolt out. For those guys @FoxMustangLvr @Bossed and @Jr's331Notch yiu guys kept the side railing correct marked with yellow arrows.

Those look damn good.

Unfortunately Ford did away with simple electronics for some of the seat functions. Heating is now controlled by a few modules that need to be programmed to function.

They might be able to be rewired but you'll need to sell me your set so I can figure it out ;)
