Who here plans to drive their fox body over a significant distance?
Significant in this case means several hundred miles one way. Now that I'm sitting in the comfort of my home, and get to look at the calendar, I realize that there is a little over a week remaining before I'm sposed to get in the Monster and drive him to Biloxi, ms.
316 miles.
Google maps says that it's a little over 5 hours....( or a little over 4 days, if I'm walking..

)
It all seems pretty stupid to me to be able to build something like this, and not be able to share it for fear of diving it...Everytime I'm driving the thing locally, I think " it actually goes down the road really nicely, what is there to worry about?" ( for a modified fox anyway).
Uhhhh....a bunch of stuff actually.
A belt driven oil pump that has a gilmer belt just isn't at the local AZ...( don't matter anyway, by the time I'd get that I may have broken, or lost the existing belt...the engine would be dead.)
The car is not " rain tolerant".
The wipers work, but work like they came off of a 1931 Model A...(Short sweep, in adequate wipe pattern,...something I did to make the 90 Mustang wiper motor fit the fairmont wiper system don't jive)
Then there's that filter hangin down there..

.
The internal nagging in my brain that would have me wondering if the engine is really headed for a come apart based on the oil change scare...

Wonder what the tow Bill would be to get that car back home if it died somewhere between here, and there?
I've got this weekend coming up to decide...All I really gotta do is put the higher pressure caps on the rear rads, fill the cooling system back up, find the cut off wire that used to trigger the fan, or the pump and re-run the leg to the fans that I'm now using for the water meth system...start it and run the thing back up to temp to see if they'll hold pressure.
I mean they're freakin radiators....they should be able to hold the same pressure that the front one does.
