So what's the fix so everything works but cant be broken into?

Pull the door lock pin out.

Short of that, perhaps fabbing a small metal plate to put inside the door would suffice. I have no idea how to secure it, but you just need to prevent something from being able to be inserted towards the door lock pin.

If someone wants something in your car they will get it. They don't call them " zipper tops " in NY for no reason. One way or another. I left my doors unlocked on my convertible in Baltimore. My theory was that they wouldn't cut the top or break the glass. Never had an issue even with all the sound system stuff. Kept a sneaky kill switch and had an Autopage alarm at some point.

A friend of mine used to chain his car up. Up there people steal cars with tow trucks just as much as screw drivers.

Given our advanced knowledge of the electrical system on the foxbody, there are a few wires on these cars, that when broken (by way of a switch) will prevent the car from running.

My advice, find one of two of those wires and install a hidden kill switch. I doubt a thief is going to bust out an EVTM and start testing wires with a multi-meter.

Yeah...there's always the tow truck though.

Just make sure the car is properly insured, and maybe add a GPS tracker on it.

I'm going to go back and edit that video out. No point showing people how to steal our cars.

editing it out wasn’t really directed at the 20 or so regulars here.

more or less for the lurkers
pffttt..you don’t know me...If you hear a noise,...Don’t take it lightly,..it might be the cat tipping over a bag of trash...but then again,..It might be me..with my special made screwdriver...jacking all y’all’s bellybuttons now that I know the secret.

Hey fellers, long time no see. Been busy with everything else except the fox. But! I have some good news. Some of you may remember that I have a woodworking side hustle and I recently sold some big tables I made for a hefty profit, so I plan on rolling a lot of that towards the fox. Not sure how yet, but it'll most likely go towards rebuilding or replacing the 3550. That TKX is pretty cool sounding.
Lately, we've been busy with wood projects, the house freezing, covid, and other life issues. The fox is hanging out on the lift waiting on me to swap the heads on. my birthday is this month, so I am planning on a parts haul from Summit to allow me to do the head swap also.

Speaking of wood projects, I made some coasters that I was pretty happy with!

I might, but it may be a minute. Got a few things coming down the pipe that may take my attention for a while

Remember when Texas froze last month? I'm waiting on insurance to pull their head out of their ass. It's been a month since filing my claim and still nothing. As far as I know, the inspector hasn't filed the report yet. But anywho, I have to basically rebuild half my house.

Secondly, I'm scaling up my sawmill operation by finally finishing a solar kiln to dry lumber I cut. It's been something I've threatened to do for a while and I can't afford to pay kiln costs anymore so that is going on while the insurance issue simmers.

TL;DR - Maybe soon.

You're going to need to give us a tour of your shop. I love woodworking.
It's a work in progress. I basically fix things once they get to the point that I cant stand it anymore. I've had a dust collector for several months now. MAybe one day I'll actually plumb it all and ya know, use it. LOL

I've noticed it's not quite as much fun to bend like a pretzel and climb under a dash or try to remove a tiny bolt with my arthritic fingers as it used to be. The 70 is on it's way out and the 90 will be too in the next few years. But I can still hold a board while standing upright.
