going to order a new rad from champion radiators, the measurements look very close..there isnt alot of these cars in my area .i seen a few at car shows. its had to believe there was alot of them around at one time.

They used to be all over the place when I was growing up, but by time I hit driving age in high school there weren't too many around. I can only remember 3 in my hometown at that time in the mid-late 80s - mine, a buddy of mine, and a girl I'm still friends with all had one - but those are the only ones I remember seeing. I've since moved to the Atlanta area and I've still only seen a few here or there - 2 that I recall right now. They do pop up on Craigslist or Facebook Marketplace from time to time here though. I started a thread for Craigslist ads for IIs that has been stickied at the top of the opening page for this group. There are a few of us who update with different cars and parts from time to time to help those looking for things find them. You can keep an eye there, maybe something will come up that you'll want or need that isn't around you.

Bracket looks visually correct.
Think I had some bracket part numbers in my thread.

Pump probably the same for both 77 and 78.
The housing around pump is different style in 78 (bigger fill tube I think)

Hi LILCBRA just watched the video of your baby, love those gold stripes. That is a beautiful car.that bracket you posted, I have the bigger bracket that that fastens to the motor with two bolts, but iam missing the smaller one that's in between the pump and the bigger plate. Now i managed to put this one on that i had, looking at some other 5 litres, but again i think iam missing a piece. This is what i have now with the pump.but the only bolt that i can tighten is with is that long bolt, put blue line on it.can you or one of the other members tell me if this is wright,am i missing a piece. Thanks

hi guys its been a while since ive been on here.Started working on her again, ive decided to put the original manifolds back on.I sand blasted them ,then cured them in an oven.hopefully the high heat paint stays.any way i cant find the original bolts.8 short and 8 long.could someone post a pic of what they should look like.the holes in the manifold are bigger than the bolt size in dia.the regular bolts i have will thread into block, but too much play in the manifold,is there a special bolt for it . a couplt of the holes seem right, but the rest are a bigger dia.if someone has some of the origional bolts ,could you send or post me a pick.thanks

If you have the right studs/bolts please post pictures! We love to see some updates on the car. I also would like to see pictures of the tranny/shifter. Don't know how the the original tranny is built up, just heard that it is kind of similar to the T5 transmission.

hi again ,need some more help, can someone tell me where i can order the top and bottom hoses for my rad.hoses never came with the car.cant get them ,you would think they would be common.my car 302,standard,no air condition.part numbers for each would help.i cant even order a new rad right now.i had an old rad good enough to at least get it running.
