I’d look for a few dollars back, and then finish it myself. This is exactly why I’d rather learn to do something, and do it myself, than give it to someone who really doesn’t care.
Finding someone who does care is harder and harder these days!

I called him yesterday from my work phone and he answered. Told him hay man, I've been waiting for you to respond back to me since Saturday. He used the excuse of not checking his text messages and it's best for me to call rather than text. But prior to taking my money he never had an issue with texting me back. Anyways, he asked if I could take it by when I got out of work yesterday but I couldn't due to having work with my side hustle. He won't be available this weekend so said lets plan for sometime next week. Guess will see what happens when I call him.

I'm tempted to just do it myself but means I'd have to spend more money on getting the supplies I need. Might be something I do if he gives me the run around next week.

Little update: He basically flaked on me two weekends in a row. Was supposed to call me to take it over and no calls.

I finally got him to take care of it. All good now. But now have a power steering leak from somewhere. I know it's been leaking for a good while so now time to track it down and repair.

Wow,I have followed this thread a long time and it makes me sad how you just can't count on people to do what you pay them to.
So many shady players ready to get your money and F you over.
Now this really isn't new to me, I have zero trust in any place or any one to work on my cars.
I have done everything on my stang except a wheel.alignment ( that they f ed up) .
This forum and its members have been a huge part of my experience. Its been eight teen years and a load of miles.

I haven't been able to do any work on my stang for awhile now,( health issues) but God willing ill get a liver transplant soon and get well so I can get back to working on my stang.
I want to retire and get some youngsters to start doing some work on their cars,maybe hold some workshops.

Damn man! I hope that things turn for the better for you! That’s definitely a cool retirement goal! We definitely have to get more young people into these old cars!
