Finally found some cheap 87-89 gt seats. time to clean these up, brace the frames, fluff a new layer of foam over the old and use the acme black leather coupe upholstery set I've had sitting in a box forever.
Funny the tweed is in decent shape on these, besides filthy. They should clean up with degreaser and peroxide mix. Only the vinyl backing is torn, even the bolster area is good at the seam from the tweed side. so even the upholstery should be salavgable if it cleans up, since the vinyl is dead easy to match still.
Bill did a video for cj's on that. it's just spot welds that pop. I just add more sheetmetal welded in to brace the areas and stitch weld the clam shell.
