If I may answer that, the stuff you add to the paint to thin it and the hardener for the bondo, I believe there will be very little if any bondo, needs to evaporate, if not you get blotches and paint bubbles and peeling in later years, our shop left the car out in the sun for a week/10 days, the color and clear paint will trap the gases.
Did I get that right? It's been a long time and different paint material.

Yes. That and the dreaded sand scratches that will appear in the primer. The primer will shrink up after time and it can go down into the very scratches you created by blocking said primer to get the car laser straight. Then the base paint and clear will go with it.

So, that's the filler on the hood you're waiting 4-6 months to to cure and shrink before you paint? I didn't see any other filler anywhere else.
Its not so much the filler as the primer and chemicals out gassing and curing that will later create things under the paint. And paint is liquid thin and will just bleed into whatever is there

Moving to the quarters. The passenger side was in great shape. Never even a door ding but always have to address spots around panel stamping. IE: fuel filler and quarter scoop area.

About 28 pieces and panels just to repaint one car. And each piece has to be perfected and looking like glass. Reassemble for mock up then tear back apart for paint. Then put back together without a chip or scratch. No wonder paint is so dang expensive.
