Progress Thread “Rising from Ashes 2” 95 Saleen S-351 build

More door blocking. Blocked the trunk lid down and started the Saleen tonneau cover. It’s wavy as can be and it’s also thin and sees a lot of wind so I’m not using any filler in it. Which means I’ll be blocking and priming it 10x or more to get it perfect

More of the same. Both doors now stripped where they need to be. Blocked down and ready for epoxy. Also started sanding/blocking the engine bay again for the next round of 2k primer. Then pressure washed the back where 25 years up funk built up behind the bumper

I’m smoothing all the backside strut tower and got the first primer on that area. A lot more work to go there. 4 coats primer for the tonneau cover. First round of primer for some of the heavily worked areas on the driver side to see where I’m at.

December 21st. 18 days into starting back on the S-351. Got the driver side blocked again and prepped the car for 3 coats of epoxy primer. I use epoxy to seal the bare metal spots exposed when doing initial blocking.

I really want another set of stock Cobra wheels. They're difficult to come by these days.
I have about 8-9 of them. I just use them as paint wheels but someone could refinish them and have a couple sets. Just send me some other ones that I can use on my project cars and we’ll swap lol!

That's an idea. Shouldn't be too difficult to find a cheap set of knockoff Cobra Rs or something.

I'll file this idea away for after the move.
