now for anyone else that tells me that my car doesnt run 12's im gonna think you need a hobby these mods are all helpful on lt1's dispite how many f-bodys you have owned in the past apperently you were doing something wrong if you couldn't get it to run 12's without a cam or heads.. a word of advice to who ever thinks im a @ss hole.. around here you "play the game or get played" also the comment about the spark plugs yeah it's a b*tch but you wanna impress me?? close your mouth until you know what you talking about!!! :p

I don't mean to sound like a d*ck but it pisses me off when people talk ***** about my cars and what can't be done when i have done it.. I have no reason to lie even if i didn't tell all my mods it's all about makin money and in a street race with my mods most people don't want to run so thats why i keep quiet, it would be like taken candy from a baby but please don't call me a liar or tell me what isnt true when your not here to prove otherwise..

As far as the statement you made about his car running in the 12's, I think he's exaggerating quite a bit. The only way you're going to get an LT1 into the 12's is with a S/C and/or head and cam swap.

I don't doubt your times and I'm sure most people here wouldn't have either, if you would've posted the whole mod list in the first place. Hell, there's a bolt-on + cam A4 LT1 (stock untouched heads) down here that runs 12.0s...and I just consider it a good running car, nothing out-of-the-ordinary.
 
well actually it was my brother who posted that and he was pissed, also he didn't inform me on his mods becasue he races alot for money and the last couple of weeks it's been my friends in there old t/a's, new stangs and srt 4's that he's been racing i knew a little but he says thats how he makes his money so he doesnt tell all but now you all know what his LT1 has im sure he doesnt care because the 383 is goin in but he hates it when people talk *****.... but anyway back to my stang how do our motors respond to long tube headers and pulleys??

No one here was dogging your brother (at first anyway), we were simply trying answer your questions about what mods will and will not give you an advantage for your Stang and trying to reconcile the apparent pack of lies your brother filled you with, regardless of his motives (and just so he could beat your friends out of some cash :notnice: ). Maybe if your brother got a job, he wouldn't need to race younger kids for money.

Even if his car will run 12's, so what. At the end of the day, he's still driving a catfish! :D
 
well actually he has 2 jobs and all my friends have rich parents that pay for just about everything that they have so they can afford it.

and ryan you live in illinois go out to the burger king on roselle road or even the mcdonalds on barrington and tell me how many 10sec cars you see around here a 12 sec ride will make you at least $200 a weekend


and what will headers and pulleys do to performance on the gt where should i start with on engine mods?
 
..well i had an lt1 befor my cobra. i ran 13.20 @105 with 323 gears. built trans. 2500 stall. mid length headers, or ypipe. 3inch catback.b/p t/b. homemade cai. bone stock dyno was 245 rwhp and 301 rwtq out of an auto. with cheap gas as those cars require premium or the km pick up know and was retarding timing :).. my dynoed look like the rocky mountains.but back to the story. i would get raped moving against my brother with 99gt, 5 spd, 410 gears, x pipe, magnaflows, cai, pulleys, sct tune and he only runs 13.6 103. well i raced him with my 273 :(
maf and t/b or worthless on an lt1, which the stock units are good for 400 rwhp.
and spark plugs.lol that is a nightmare.
ask him to put slicks on his fbody then race him..i garuntee youll smoke him:) b/c his 7.5 rear will be on the ground lol.
id say do it from a dig and see what the out come is.and lt1's arent really revers ethier. they are down low :) hence all the tracion problems
