03 Cobra Stereo Replacement

Hey guys just picked up my cobra the other day. The owner told me that the cd player doesnt work in it so it has to be replaced. My question is if I throw an aftermarket player in does it still use all 8 speakers? Or do I need a special head unit for it?

I got one and installed it. I hooked the rcas from the wiring kit to the front rcas. Should they be moved to the back rcas? The only rcas I had to hook up were the ones from the harness which then I dont see why a guide I found on the other site said to buy one with 3 sets of rcas
