This has me puzzled, I got a 03 Merc Mounty engine for a swap into a 97 GT, I posted some q's about it before. Heres the thing when I got the engine I cranked it over by putting a ratchet on the crank pulley nut and it turned just fine. I swapped the front cover from my 97 and tried to crank it over after that and it will turn a half turn then feels like it locks up or hits something, if you turn it the other way it does the same thing, what went wrong, I am ready to drop this motor in and I don't know what happend, I did not touch the cams or chains, it feels like a it's out of time and maybe a valve is hitting a piston, please help!
