One of the many bugs in the car I'm trying to chase down is the rear backup lights don't illuminate when the trans is put into reverse. The trans shop tested the reverse light switch located on the trans and that came out good. Are the reverse harnesses known to go bad? I plan to ask the trans shop to test that, but other than the switch and harness I can only assume the wiring at the bulbs were reinstalled incorrectly.

Visited the tranny shop today. Turns out I have a "World Class" T-5. So I'm going to go ahead and rebuild it with new parts primarily the 3rd and 5th gear. I also purchased a steel bearing retainer through LMR. Thanks to all for the good tips.

All 85.5+ mustangs thru 2010 have the “world class” style bearings and blocker rings. Not really anything special.

They are easier as pie to rebuild.

I'm paying more than I think I should have to for parts and labor, but I keep telling myself this is a one time thing. Ugh

Got the car back from the transmission shop today. Huge reduction in engine/transmission noise due to the rebuild and steel bearing retainer. I also swapped out the rear back up light switch and boom I have reverse lights. On to the next item which will be trying to resolve the windshield wiper electrical issue.

I'm still working through a suspension bug where the pax side fenders, both front and rear, sit 1/2" higher than the driver's side. All the suspension parts are new. I've tried seperately clocking the left and right springs-no change. I tried moving the pax side shock down half an inch-no change. I've loosened all the suspension bolts under load and retightened them. That helped a little.

I have a panhard bar and suspect that the car is slightly twisted and the panhard bar is causing the pax side to rise up with the rear end centered under the car. Has anyone heard of or dealt with this? 1/2" still seems like a lot to be within tolerance.

Ahh..they've fallen into our trap and we have them right where they want us.

The upside is that if you shoot in any direction, you'll be shooting at the enemy

If you'd spent any time on this forum, you'd know this isn't the military. In the civilian car world, and at least for the last 100 years, it's been passenger. As in ( per your owners manual) "Passenger side".

I think you have to start with the expectation of being called Sir and then move up from there.
