First off will it fit? I have stock everything. The rim is a 17x9 with a 5.78" backspace(+20mm offset) . Second, will this rim backspacing and offset "look" ok on my 91 LX 5.0. In that I mean will the rims sit flush to the fender? Anyone got any pics of this size (backspace) rim mounted on a 91 LX.
Thanks for the input.

The rim I want to buy and that is pictured below is a Cobra R from ebay. However, I did gather this information from the AFS website.

"We have combined two sizes on this
auction, 2 - 17" x 8" (+12mm with 4.95" backspacing)
for the front, and 2 - 17x9 (+24mm with 5.95" backspacing) for the
rear. We really like using the 17" x 8" on the
front of the Fox body Mustang! It gives better handling and NO RUBBING
problems!"

The AFS 17x9 rim has a 5.95" backspacing. The ebay wheel I am looking at has a 5.78" backspacing.
Thanks for your help.

OK, I'm not sure if they have same offset but here is what I got on my car. 17x9 245/45/17. If I turn the wheel all the way it will rub a bit. In the rear I had to flip both quad shocks to eliminate slight rubbing.

iv'e got 17x9's on mine. Had to use 1/4" spacer mainly on front to clear the strut and to keep the center cap in. But mine are Saleen Repl. Dont know if the Cobras are different. Mine sit pretty nice. Not sticking out from the fenders.

Update

Got my Cobra R's on!!!!! Not happy with the 235/45/17 tires though! They were brand new and got em for a steal, so will live with them for now. I did notice the front is just at the outer fender lip and the rear is slightly inset, just barely. Don't want to mess with spacers so I will live wit it!!

Mine are 17X9 Saleen's. Had to use a 1/4" spacer on the front because the center cap was being knocked out by the grease cap. Also the wheels would not go on without hitting the strut. Did not need the spacer on the rear, but installed them anyway to make it even. Wheels sit pretty flush, I like them. Had many compliments on the appearence . Not a great pic but hope it will do. O and it's not a LX either.:flag:
