I hope you have a drink, nachos and candy. It is going to be a lkng movie LOL.

Nothing new to report. Just picked up a buddies engine hoist. I got as far as I could with disconnecting the wiring. The rest will get disconnected when the motor starts coming out. The oil pan is pretty beat up (forgot to get photos of it). I dont know if the motor was out before or not or if it hit something. It is enough of a concern that i am probably going to pull it off and hammer it out. I dont want it to mess with the pickup in there.

A little update.

Motor is out. It was a little bit of a struggle but it is out. Cracked one of the valve covers. Oh well, price of doing business I guess. I plan on loosening the suspension but leaving it on until it is on the trailer. Then once it is up and on the trailer I can take the rest of it off and lay it flat for a ride to the scrap yard.

When you were talking about the lines going to the radiator, were you referring to the coolant lines than run to the oil filter housing? Ford was big on using a coolant based oil cooling system instead of an external oil cooler.

Yes, that was what I was talking about. I had never seen this before so I thought it was pretty neat. I am going to try and use everything from the radiator that I can so it has the crown vic setup.

Not a whole lot of progress, got the booster unbolted, steering wheel and shaft, brake pedal and gas pedal all out. Booster just sitting in there with lines hooked up. When I hop in the engine bay to unbolt front end I will finish taking out the booster and mc.

Here are some more shots of the CV tear down. Hope to have it and the 90 GT gone the weekend after thanksgiving

I still need to remove the parking brake from the interior. I am going to use the bracket and everything that I can in the truck.

Thanks. With thanksgiving just around the corner I have been limited on time with working on the project. I am not sure what, if anything, I am going to use from the steering provided by the donor car but, I would rather take as much as I can from this thing before it gets hauled off. Otherwise I would probably pay twice as much at a scrap yard for it later. Progress is slow but better than none at all. I have had many other projects that bit the dust before they came to fruition. I am dedicated on getting this one done as it is something I have always wanted and can't wait to at least get it running. Making look pretty will come later.

Suspension is out. Cars are gone. Front end popped out pretty easily. But, there is always that one bolt that has to be stubborn. The very last one had some rust on it and had to be turned by hand until about an inch out. Then the impact gun took care of the rest.

Moving along pretty good this time around man. Just about the only reason I've been swinging back through to check it out. And @84Ttop's new car. I'm sure you've seen KC's mod swapped Ford truck as well right?

Making a 13 hour drive to pick up my new project Thursday. Lookin forward to doing some wrenching again myself!

I am not sure if I have seen KC's truck or not. I have been doing s ton of research on the project so I may have.

Whats your new project? Last I remember you had the purple notch and you were tossing around putting in a 351 i believe.

It was blue

Anywho, here's the truck. Was initially exactly what you're doing, crown Vic drop out truck

Got a roush charger at one point and I believe is now a coyote swapped truck.
I preferred it when it had paint like yours honestly.

I'm picking up an 03 Cobra roller. Hoping to build something fun out of.

Keep up the good work Mang

Yeah I saw that before. Pretty neat.

Where did the notch go? What are the plans for the cobra? I need pics of the cobra I love that year.

Don't wanna jinx myself just yet and end up not bringing it home but I'll PM you some info when I drag it back to Indiana. Redfire 03, 50k, solid axle, full suspension roller. It's built for 1400hp, which it will never see under my ownership .
It's super-freakin-crazy clean and that's the only reason I jumped on it to begin with.
