Hi guys,

So I've been doing a little work on my Mach 1 lately and had to replace the starter solenoid. All the wires and leads have been put in the exact same spot however...

Now when I connect the battery, the car tries to start. Scared the crap out of me. Anyway, it's as if there is constant power running through the solenoid to the starter motor.

Little bit about the car. It has a 351c 4v in it and an MSD Ignition and Distributor system in it.

Any help would be appreciated

Regards

Sam

pull the two wires on the front of the solenoid and hook up the battery and see if it still does it ,if it does the solenoid is stuck in the on position ,if not the wires are backwards on the front or shorted

You could also pull all wires off the solenoid and do a continuity test on the large posts to see if it is stuck or closed.
