The next 8 years got us attacked by 19 terrorists, and got us involved into two of the most costly wars we've ever engaged in, to the tune of 7 billion dollars PER MONTH. That, plus a basic blind eye to the mortgage banking industry pushed this country into a staggering state of affairs that could only be described as a depression.
Mike, if I was a betting man, I would wager heavily that I could not change your mind. I am not a betting man, so who knows.
I am not qualified to address most of what you wrote, but I have a close relative who knows much about mortgages. Your perception of where the blame for the crisis lies is nearly 180* off.

So what if we disagree? You write an excellent build thread!

I hope you are well, and have new stuff for us soon.

Dan

My issue is and always will be MSM's hand in all of this. More than the campaigning by any candidate, those clowns perpetuate filth constantly. It probably could have been a clean election without those goobers fanning the flames.

My rage hit a high note Tuesday night/Wednesday morning when they blamed "uneducated whites" for putting Trump in office.

Think back 4 and 8 years ago. Would they have mentioned the same statistics to show what demographics elected the president then?

America is not full of rassis, bigits, homofobes, and unedicated knuckle draggers. It's a victim of an extremely biased media taking advantage of a mentally weak populous; people who allow themselves to be spoon fed garbage instead of exuding the effort to go out and figure out what best on their own. But then again, if they were willing to put out that effort, they'd also probably put out enough effort to contribute to society.

* I didn't vote for either of the two main parties for those wondering about my political leanings, but I did vote.

MSM did the same when Obama was elected. They said those that voted against the change agent were racist.

.I'm hoping you're making a point in your first sentence.;)

The fact of the matter is, The "Biased media" all worked in Trump's favor when he was campaigning. The attention paid to him during the primary's that basically allowed him 75% more time to shut out the other 15 opponents and through his subsequent campaign was tantamount to free advertising for him. ONLY when he didn't like the press did he btch. All of the rest of the ride for him was gravy. Courtesy of MSNBC/FOX/CNN/and the big 3.

I voted for Trump and am still currently enjoying Gloatfest 2016.
He'll be the guy that makes sure your neighbors that had some form of insurance don't anymore.

I find it almost humorous to think about how many of the poorest supporters of trump just shut off their health insurance.

However it gets labeled, it's still heavily biased and worse, they filter what they do/dont air to slant things how they want to show them. THAT IS WRONG. Deliver it impartially and let the viewers decide how to twist it on their own.

That's bunk. Most of the stuff that Trump was blasted for came directly out of his mouth while it was covered live.

All of the blather that came out of Trump's mouth is/are/were false hoods. He has desperate people hanging onto the notion that he is somehow gonna re-open shuttered steel factories, antiquated non-clean coal processing facilities, and bring back prosperity to small dots on the map that have become Ghost towns. He told people what they wanted to hear, never saying how he was actually gonna do it.

Hillary, and the Democrats were guilty of telling people that their jobs were gone, and the industries and small towns were history. only offering "retraining" and relocation as a possible solution to help a coal mining town come back from extinction.

Pretty much. I pay for my insurance, and their insurance. I just want to pay for my insurance. I feel the same way about welfare. I understand some people suffer unemployment and can't find work.. but more ride the system.. use ebt cards for groceries while driving an escalade talking on an obama phone.. all paid for by ME- the tax payer. No, thank you. I'll pay for me, you pay for you.

NOW- Back to car stuff..

Just one more thing before we return to the wonderful world of the Gila Monster...

Since um a resident black republican here....I'll say this. My annual is about 70 grand and I can't afford healthcare at this time. My finances are tied up insuring that my family has a future. I think its a slap in the face to tax my taxes...because I literally can't afford healthcare. Paying for healthcare, for me, would mean I don't eat or get to enjoy life.

Yes, I have a project car that I've been spending into over the last 3 years....but I also drive an 08 Taurus, 98 ranger, or an 88 Econoline. No car payments here. How much more am I supposed to give up out of my 25 percent taxed check with 6 percent stacked on top of that...and my school loans....my kids education and sports activities. To hell with anyone that tells me what I can afford. Affordable healthcare is a bag of b.s.

Now back to our regular scheduled programming. Lol

All of this coming from a guy that does so much for other people.....w/o asking for anything in return.

Smallest common denominator. You pay taxes, I pay taxes. NObody knows where it goes, it just does. You expect it to enable your govt to do the things they say they'll do for the common good. And that costs you and me between 20-30% annually.
I pay it. I expect the Govt to take care of the others that can't take care of themselves with the monies we all contribute to that end. There are cheats out there that are taking advantage of those charities to be sure, and I'd also expect that Gov't would do a better job of policing that.

Not everybody that falls into despair self inflicted their situations. Take the generational scores of coal miners as an example. Once the demand for such an inefficient fuel dries up you have little choice when that has been your life. Just like the guy that slammed a trunk in Detroit on a assembly line for 20 years and now a robot does it for him,...A company that depends on the community for labor and the labor that depends on the company is the proverbial basket that has all of the eggs in it.

And now that basket just got dropped.

So,.....I hate it for you Jeeves,.....Sorry to hear that a robot is now slamming your trunk for you, sorry to hear that the world is moving past coal as a fuel source, I pay enough as it is......

That how we're gonna be?

Soooooo, uhm.....what's new with the monster?

I didn't post a comment one way or another even if I felt like doing so. There is so much I could say...but how about "any progress on the Monster?"

I hear ya.......we'll dispense w/ my pi ssed of status, and get on w/ Montstrology.

The Monster is on the operating table. Currently he has an open wound exposing his pushrodicus minor. I have to come up w/ a sufficient gasketing solution to cover that area back up, and get him back off life support. I have Saturday off as well as Sunday this week (weird fluke)...I should be able to do that.

All I know is I'm tired with dealing w/ an obscure oil leak. This better be the problem solver,...or I'm gonna pull the whole damn thing, and start over.
