Well yay! Plus the added practice of R&I of the dash pad. God made Booker's for a reason Mike. This reason right here.:nice:
Dave you limit yourself.
There are three irish whiskeys, and 7 other brands of bourbon on my booze shelf. Bookers as you know is too "high gravity" to drink the way I like (neat w/ barely any ice) and I never "mix" a drink if the primary ingredient is whiskey.

Back about a page ago I said...

The idea I was trying to convey is when troubleshooting electrical power problems, always start at the power source. Then work your way towards the first component in the circuit after the power source.
Oh I understood you completely. I fully believed it to be a bad wire connection,.....at the switch. I just installed that stupid fuse panel. I was sure that all of the connections were tight.
So sure....

Nice work getting that figured out. What is next on the agenda after the dash is back together?
Front end alignment. Although it goes straight, I'm sure my "string and level" method leaves a little margin for error when compared to a real, professional version of the same.

More tweaking/tuning. More getting it to run right so as to tame it to the most civil it can be when I want it to idle as good as it can. Charging the AC system, and hoping that btch doesn't leak. Detail work.....buffing & polishing.
The first wax job.

Driving it.

Well,...like I said,....I'm gonna put it back together, get the tune dialed in, finish the details,..(like pull the driver side mirror back off and paint it better so you can't see the raw inside, and put that stinkin plate on the inside that holds the adjuster knob.).get it aligned, and drive the crap out of it.

Unfortunately,..today is gonna be another one of those....."What do I have to fix next" days in the house, intermingled w/ meting the agent to go over "finishes, colors, and fixtures" on the new house. Let me ask you what you think here.........

Do you think I give one sht whether or not the paint in my new house is a light tan, or a light grey?..............I'll give you a hint..
:nono:.

I'm gonna sneak down stairs in about 30 minutes after I've had this cup of coffee, and put the dash top back on. It came off fairly easily,..hopefully the reverse will be the same. In the grand scheme of things,...it had to happen. The passenger side of the dash top over hung the internal dash frame.

In other words, I couldn't build this end cap because of that......only on the passenger side. I have been looking at it for months now, not wanting to pull it all apart to do that. I actually was gonna have to stick an angle grinder in there and try to knock down the over hang while it was in place.......Like that wouldn't have ended in a disaster.

So In the end,..I had to pull the dash top regardless.

I've got Visors that have to be mounted, and a dome light to cut in still....(hopefully the light switch will allow me to turn on that light,..I've removed the plungery dudes that were in the doors that trigger it when the doors are open) The problem w/ the visors are that they are black....against a caramel colored headliner.
I don't think that'll be a problem,...it's not like that color combo isn't EVERYWHERE ELSE IN THE FREAKIN CAR!

Just thought I'd point that out though.

Oh look,....my cup's empty....that means I got two choices now....go downstairs,.......or get another cup.

Well,..come hell or highwater the dash is back together. Hopefully, the loose connection on the fuse block was the culprit. I paired my phone to the new Pioneer head unit,..started Spotify, and set the Little Japanese Kid to full "ARE WE THERE YET DAD!!!"

He sounds really good.
The 3 channel Pio amp drives the two front component 6.5"s and the 10" sub....It's more than enough to rattle every metal piece that isn't mega-bolted down,...which, unfortunately is the giant piece of aluminum ducting directly behind the LJK.

Not the end of the world, I can always deal w/ additional sound deadening where it's needed...for now,..I won't be listening to it. I need to make sure the Monster's engine is completely happy before I start ignoring him in favor of Daft Punk, or Awol Nation.

Didn't see that flic, I'll google it and catch up.
Now whats on the agenda for today? Is the weather good enough to test drive it to the new property for a look?
No need...I'll give you the Gist.
Henry Fonda plays the POTUS,...Reacting to a commercial airliner that had wandered into our airspace, a SAC crew gets scrambled and heads towards Russia. The pilot knocks a cup of coffee over accidently into his com box, which in turn causes a malfunction, and they do not hear/get the recall code that would cancel the mission. They end up nuking Moscow.
The president, whose wife and daughter are shopping in NYC has to avert nuclear war by offering an eye for an eye, and orders the nuking of NYC to appease Russia....
A real happy go lucky kinda movie...one to take the grand kids to.

I have never met Kate, but I am pretty sure the answer from her would be, "No says the finger."
maybe I can just have a giant G monster decal made up and stick it on one of the two garage doors since she has demanded one side of the garage.....I have no clue where all of the junk I have will go if she forces me to jam it all into one side of the garage.

Again,..the internet is a cool thing....this will be my new neighborhood.

Mike's house is the one in the lower right corner...garages are behind the house. Obviously this is a concept drawing,...three lots are sold (I'm one of them) and the concept shows a different style than the one we chose (ours will look like the one two places over to the left)

What about Pink Floyd Mike?
