No mechanical update here fellas.
I'm just gonna have to make some time now for the Monster after I get home, elsewise it'll never get done.
Last Sunday, we had people over for some beers and burgers. They started showing up at 2, and didn't leave till 9PM.
Fully aware that that would probably be the case, I snuck down into the garage on Sunday morning to sand on the car some more.
No sooner do I get started does my phone ring,...(On a Sunday morning, at 8 AM). I let it go to voice mail. After checking it, this is what I hear:
"The following important message is from Birmingham Internal Medicine Associates for ....Michael Matkosky." (the generic start, followed by the short pause so that your name can be inserted in the space provided.)
It goes on to say: " Your test results are in. It is very important that you visit BIMA.com/testresults.com to review the results of your labwork."
And I get this call on a Sunday,........ at 8AM.
I immediately get a feeling of dread, stop sanding, and bound up the stairs. I go straight to this computer, plug in the website, and view my results.
My PSA count,......the thing that says whether or not you may be at risk for prostrate cancer says that it is 1.02.
It has a scale to show the range of good to bad. It ranges from 0.00-3.99.
This looks good to me.
I peck around, looking at the other obscure results, when I finally come across the Dr.'s comments:
"Glucose and PSA are normal. Your cholesterol was mildly elevated. It would be reasonable to reduce this with diet and regular exercise. Here are a couple of websites that are helpful in this regard. http://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-...cholesterol/in-depth/cholesterol/ART-20045192 http://www.heart.org/HEARTORG/Condi...olesterol_UCM_305630_Article.jsp#.VqoZTBH2aiM"
And I get a phone call at 8 AM on a Sunday to tell me this?..... That I apparently like a cheeseburger a little too much?
WTF?
In retrospect, much better to receive these results, as opposed to what they could've said. So, whatever is wrong with me may be as simple as old age. It may be a pulled groin muscle (only I don't know quite how somebody pulls a groin muscle), or I may still have something to be concerned about that only a colonoscopy will find. It's time for one of those things I think, (After you get past 50, I think you're supposed to get them yearly, and I got one a year ago before going to Spain)
So that brings me back around to the Monster.
Round two blocking revealed a couple of small low dimples in my "what I thought were straight quarters", and I have since ran out of 2k primer. I ordered some replacement stuff from Summit this morning, and Thursday would've been my day to spray it. But I got side work. All day's worth. It should net me about $2,000.00 for an 8 hr day. No way in hell I'm trading that for sanding on my poor ol neglected Monster. Hopefully, Sunday I'll get another chance.

Not to crash your thread, but I was just dragged in here...
Glad to hear your PSAs were relatively low. That's great news. If you are having trouble with hernias or the roids, they say that straining on the pot (which can aggrivate both situations) is best relieved by squatting. Not by elevating. So forget putting your seat up on blocks and get a foot stool instead.
And You gotta know that I appreciate you appreciating stuff for me.It was an extension of an earlier joke including his balls taking a dip until they went numb. But your info is useful and appreciated!

If I had time to come up with an entire life story, I'd have time to do something to the car that is sitting downstairs. Even if I do manage to squirrel away part of tomorrow, the update will still be about the same stuff that I wrote about the last time.Since you're off being "Mr.Responsible" with a full time Job- and not having updates. Can you write more stories about "Mr.Irresponsible" ?
There has to be more hurricane,Mach one etc stories left lol

And the time before that.
And before that.
I'm officially in the twilight zone. A damned if I do, and damned if I don't kinda place that involves more of the stuff I'm really learning to hate. If I had the extra money, (which I don't) The Monster would be at a bodyshop, and somebody else would be doing the mind numbing ordeal that is body work.
I knew that the roof had hail damage, but thought that impact damage was superficial, and might cover with layers of primer.
Wrong.
Not only are there about 9 visibly low spots, there is a gigandor dent right in the middle of the front crown of the roof. I was so concerned with getting to trim holes filled that went across the roof, I missed that crater, and after blocking the roof, the rest of the lunar surface became apparent.
I got my supplies from Summit on Thursday, but as stated earlier, spent the entire day updating an old customers Home theater system from 720p to 4k. I didn't even get home till after 6PM on my day off.
(But I did make 2 grand for my "efforts")![]()
So that brings my dead, draggin' ass to tomorrow. Right now, the wife doesn't know that my "plan" is to spend a good part of "our" day in the garage. How that goes when she finds out will be the determining factor on what gets done,.........................
and what doesn't.
Naw I'm good with it just as it is now. While it was great being able to make that much Gross when I was self employed. If I considered the taxes, and insurances that needed to be set aside to cover that income, the actual was considerably less.Well, congrats on making a fat stack o' bills there bud. That always feels great. That's pretty freakin cool making that much coin in one day. Too bad the market isn't there to keep doing it, huh?
