I’m pretty sure the 94/95 MC’s only have two ports. This is why you need a 3-2 kit.


You can make the kit yourself but it’s a pain in the rear unless you are good at flaring brake line.
I've got an '80 model. A bit different I've learned. I spoke w/Maximum Motorsports when I ordered the different parts. I have three outlet ports on the proportioning valve body/bock or whatever. The lines from the MC to the block are sorted, more or less. I still have to add an external proportioning valve. My question is the hard lines from the proportioning valve/block on.

@limp - how may ports are on the combination valve on your car?

Reason I ask is because the combination valve on my '93 has four ports, two inlet ports (from the MC) and two outlet ports of which one goes to the right front brake and the other goes to the rear brakes. There was a third port on the stock MC that went to the left front. The port on the MC is the reason for the 3-2 conversion kit as the 93 Cobra or the 94/95 GT/V6 or the 96-98 V6 MC's do not have the port for the left front brake.

On a '93 Cobra the MC has two ports and they go to the top two ports on the combination valve then then the back brakes come out of the bottom front port, the right front brake comes out of the bottom rear port, and the left front brake come out of an adapter on the back of the proportioning valve. I day adapter as that is blocked off on the 87-93 LX and GT's and behind the cap is the shuttle valve. Not sure what exactly is different on the Cobra combination valve but that is what I have seen in multiple pictures of the Cobra's.

I believe but could be incorrect that the 94-98 cars that do not have hydraboost brakes are as follows with regards to brake lines:

Non-ABS
The lines for the brakes come out of the bottom two ports and a modified rear port on the combination valve.

ABS
The lines for the brakes come out of the bottom two ports of the combination valve over to the ABS unit. Out of the ABS unit are two separate lines for the front brakes and one line for the rear brake line.

This is all from Googling pictures of the engine bays of the cars. I am 100% confident on the 87-93 cars but the 94-98 cars I would give it about 90%.

I have five ports on my combination valve. Two on top for the MC ,two on the bottom, and one on the rear the that opens towards the firewall.

If you take a look at post #40,; the rear line from the MC comes into the top rear port of the combination valve. There is a port directly below that opening that I'm assuming is for the right front brake, and one at the 9 o'clock position that I'm assuming is for the left front brake. There is one more port on the bottom of the combination valve closest to the radiator, that I'm assuming is for the rear brakes.
 
My question is how do the lines route after the combination valve? Especially the right front? I think I've sorted the left front and rear, but the right front is giving me fits. Do I have to drop the k-member? Meaning does the line run inside the engine compartment and under the "frame rail" between it and the k-member? The line looks like it wants to live here, but I'll have to drop, or lower, the k/member to make that happen.
I'd like to know that I'm on the right track prior to dropping the k-member.

5 ports on mine.. If I " recall" the rear port goes to the left front brake... I would of thought it was the circuit to the back brakes....
Pic of the oblong hole on the back of the shock tower.. Mine has some sort of vinyl covering to protect the line from the sharp edge.
