The real thing to do would have been to buy 10k worth of bitcoin.
The problem with any of this speculation is that you really can't predict the future, and I didn't buy the car as an investment. It was just supposed to be a car I could drive around without being overly concerned about it.
The one I really missed out on was back in around 2009. A guy had a Black 93' Cobra that he had wrecked. It was on Craigslist for $2,500. It needed a LR quarter panel, rear bumper cover, the spoiler and hatch. It was a big job, but it was definitely repairable. I had an appointment to go see it and the cash in hand, but I ended up getting horribly sick with a stomach virus. I tried to reschedule for the following day, but it was already gone. That one still stings a little.
