got some used 20" Shelby razors w the 255/35 f&r with the 24mm/6"offset and I'm almost embarrassed in how it looks . Pix on the forums with that combo don't look too bad, but in person, the rear wheels look horrible especially from the straight on rear shot and the donut sized 255s sticking out from the fenders. This is imo of course. I may be looking to unload these pdq - but @ least these wheels n tires got me into the 20" market to sell/trade - I was so looking forward to these looking awesome too

they might look alot better with a fatter tire on there, and lowered.

what size rim are they? 20x9s all around? or you have a 20x10 out back? i am not familar with 20 inch tire sizes but i would go at minimum 275 out back. possibly a 315.

they must be 20x9's... who on earth suggested that offset and tire size??? whoever it was, they're all wrong. 24mm is for 99-04's. s197's need a 40mm offset. that's why your rears are sticking outside of the wheel wells. also, 255's all around are a joke; fine for import tuners, not so much for stangs. you should be running 275/40's all around.

if you bought that setup brand new from a vendor, you should return it and get the correct sizes asap.

i'd also suggest doing more research on wheel/tire sizes before making a purchase. i'd never trust a seller (not even a big name vendor) to provide me with the correct setup. too much $$$ at stake.

Yea, I'll put up some pix soon..........they're the 20x9 razors and i bought em used (smokin deal!). I know that the 35/40mm combo is optimum for our cars, but going by the pix here and on MF, they didn't look too bad. All I need now is a huge Steeda spoiler, some halo headlights, and Alteeza tails and I'm set the 255s in the front are fine, but there's no way in hell i'm putting a wider tire on there with this offset..........it would just make it look like the wheel stuck out even farther - I feel like a fawking ricer for christs sake

Bummer dude. I put 285's on a 9 inch rim and it looks awesome. Is it fixable or are you posting on craigslist already? LOL

i have one of four choices:

1) leave it, and be happy I have 20s
2) take to a wheel shop and take 4-6mm off the wheel (will it really make a difference & I dunno how much yet)
3) find rotors that have a shallower hat that will bring the wheel in (dunno if they even exist)
4) fawk it, and sell the bastards

I think I'm s.o.l. on this one! anyone done #2??? I would love 275-295s on the back, but not with this stupid offset. I need some options guys!!!!!!! TIA

1) i know how awful this offset looks on our cars and no way would i been seen with them.
2) that will cost as much as a new set of wheels.
3) don't exist.
4) now you're talkin. i'm sure the plenty of 99-04 owners who would love a good deal on a set of razors.

good luck.

+1 with nite. If you got a really good deal like you say then just sell them for what you got them for or a smidge under and put your stockers back on til you find the right offset again. Other than that...

i think you got a rare set of wheels hold on to em. hah.

i cant see there being much demand for a 20" wheel for anything 2004-back.

my suggestion? an adjustable panhard bar. even if the cars stock ride height. my car is stock ride height and i have the stock panhard bar. my rear end is not center, i can tell by putting my hand inbetween wheel well and tire.

so one side sticking out more then the other, while it may not look like it, it will definitely give it the look like the tires are sticking out.

Sell 'em bro. If you are anything like me, you won't be satisfied. Get the correct offset and call it a lesson learned.
