The time has come to finish this project up. We'll be installing the cams this weekend, then it'll be dyno tuned in May. I'll keep you guys updated throughout the weekend with pics and videos.

Check back Saturday.

I was bored today, so I went ahead and started this thread a little early.

Cams are installed and the car's running pretty good. It definitely needs tuned now, but it still runs smooth. It seems to have a little bit of an idle problem, and it has a little trouble starting. I'll let Shawn report any power gains later this week, since he's giving a little time to break in.

It wasn't as bad as I was expecting. We had to use the engine hoist to lift the motor on one side so it was tilted in the engine bay. It was very tight, but were able to remove and reinstall the valve covers without actually pulling the engine. Took us about an hour to get one bolt out, though. Once we figured out how to get to it, it wasn't that bad. If it was a 4.6L, I think we could have done everything in one afternoon.

We would have finished it Saturday night, but both studs broke off the exhaust manifold. So we spent all day Sunday working on the exhaust.

Here's some videos.
In car, before cams

First start up, open headers

First start up with full exhaust
