235s on 17x8 wheels

I have a deal on 235/50/17s winter tires
Narrower is great for winter tires but I was wondering if 235s would still fit the 17x8 mags that came with the Mustang. They're Pirellis and the website is really shy of information.
Tirerack says 7.5" is the suggested width, is there an acceptable margin?

Sure here ya go. I always get compliments on it because of how unique it is. I am considering changeing to a set of black bullitts though. I've had these for 3 years and think it's time for a change

Looks very nice, I can honestly say I've never seen that combo before. Bullitts for new wheels? oh man now thats unique! have you even thought of Torq-Thrust IIs? They're bullitt style but not made by Ford so that makes them special lol

I'd go with a tire thats not as wide for the winter. I've drove my car for one winter and I've put some 16'' on it, you can probably find a good set of used v6 wheels for cheap also.

Yeah, i did toss the idea around, but i'm partial to bullitts. I really like the style Ford has put out. Yeah i know the bullitt wheel is pretty common, but a black fox with black bullitts isn't
