i may be wrong, but i thought 1990's were the 25th anniversary. i mean i know that mustang starts in 1964 and 1984 was the 20th and now 2004 is the 40th anniversary, but i remember seeing a lot of signatures on SN with a '90 stang "25th anniversary edition" or something. i just figured something happened that delayed the celebration or something. once again, i may be wrong but just my input on the subject

i have an '89 LX and mine didn't come with the dash emblem... is there a reason some had them and some didn't?? I've heard that tha 25th anniversary is tha one "Ford forgot"... did they realize it after some 89's were manufactured or what? And if i wanted to put one on my dash, do they make tha ones that apply with just adhesive? i've only seen ones with pegs in tha back that seem like they are inserted into tha dash... thanks!

Yeah, I've read it was "the anniversary Ford forgot"... so maybe once they got done with '89s, they put them in 90s just to do it??

I hope the people who sold it to you didn't charge you extra for "25th anniversary", because if it was made early 89 then it is not.

haHA i was right (kinda), it feels so good lol. anyway, how is this tech? free post yet again woo

yea stangs started in 1964 1/2... forgot to add that. i really didnt think the half years mattered that much to delay the anniversary for a few months though. learn something new every day

although the stang was released april of 64, understand it was technically a 65, which would make the technical 25th anniversery a 1990. Technically, there is no such thing as a 64 1/2 mustang, so there would be no reason to technically support a 25th anny in 1989.

Check your build date on the door tag. If it is April 89 to about April 90, then it is a real "25th anniversary" model. I have a black interior from a 90 that has the 25th anny tag and had the armrest delete. It was made in Dec of 89.

I also have a black interior from a '90 in my car that came with the 25th dash emblem and had the armrest delete. I've since added the armrest to the car since it was annoying me

I have armrests and the 25th emblem on the dash too in my 89 lx hehe, trident works better than big red by the way I think I still have some of that keeping the door pad from vibrating in my old ford truck
