I also have a black interior from a '90 in my car that came with the 25th dash emblem and had the armrest delete. I've since added the armrest to the car since it was annoying me

LOL! Notice I said HAD! After driving with the armrest for 16+ years.... it more than annoyed me. I got a black one with a busted pad on ebay for $20 and recovered my red pad with black vinyl.... back in business with a black armrest for under $35. I sold the delete plate for more than that!

OK guys here it is. check your dash plaque cause it says "25 years" not 25th ANV. Ford did forget the 25 anv. so they put the plaque on two model years 89-90 your right about that. But ford did send out 1 car to be done as the 25th ANV. " Special Edition. And i bought it from ford in Cali in 93. No arm rest though(AOD) if you have the armrest is it a stick or AOD? Here is a pic.

P.S. the paint is Titianium(and it IS paint) it reflects light like the 70BOSS' C-stripes

the dash plaque, i believe, was about the extent of the "celebration," as there was no official "anniversary" model that had any upgrades or anything. The CONSOLE delete (arm rests are on the doors, fellas!) had nothing to do w/ the dash plaque or anniversary model, etc, it as a new thing that started for the 1990 model year and - by the end of the 90 model year - the console returned due to public out-cry - people were pissed. I believe the dash plaque was on cars built between april 89 - april 90, as someone may have pointed out.

Umm...No. Ford does not send out cars -- dealers send out cars. There are all kinds of cars that dealers have goofy sticker packages and stuff put on and sell as "special editions" and "limited editions" and whatever else they can come up with.

What do you think a 25th anniversary is ... it's 25 years. Yeah, just like the the little dash plaque says.

Yes, one of our local dealers made a lot of "25th anniversary specials" from LX models during the 1990 model year. They were pretty nice too. They were all white hatch & vert models, with the side mouldings all painted white, and that was before Ford started painting the black LX body side mouldings the body color. They put different wheels on them and pin stripes and I think a numbered dash plaque.

LOL! Same as my car have a 25th anniversary dash emblem in my 1988. I did put it on dash, because its looks cool, I like it alots. But later my car is gone to salavage, reason rusty body and transmission is dead. I forgot to take out my 25th anniversary dash emblem from my old car!

Anyway, recently I finally got NOS 25th anniversary dash emblem from Ford Dealership last two weeks ago! Hopefully I will find my next Mustang (1987-1993) whatever if I see emblem is missing on dashboard, then I already have it. (backup) You can see my scanner at attach files below...
