Sorry if the first post wasn't well received. I have come here many times to read and didn't think I had not posted before. The problem isn't new to me as it has festered awhile.

Just to know a little of my background I was a mechanic from 1975 to 1992. I have built over three hundred engines, mostly industrial. Only about 10-12 were hotrod engines and only six were smallblock Ford. I bought a short block because I needed my everyday driver back on the road fast.

so you built over 300 engines and werent fast enough to build your own?????

Like it was said, i doubt anybody will take you seriously when your first post is bashing a company. Flat cams happen to the best of them, not their fault. Deal with them first.

Well when I ordered the engine I was still driving the vehicle. So yes I can't take and engine out, get it machined and put it back in in 2 days like you can swap a short block. Can you? The machine shops around here are at least two weeks wait on getting your work done.
