Hey guys I'm currently building a motor and was curious about how much hp can #30lb injectors hold . I'm currently getting some parts together for my built . My goal is 450-475hp any advise would b great .

347 stroker
Eagle cast steal crank , rods,
pro flattop forged pistons
Pro comp Heads 210
Pro comp cam xfi236hr-14
Holly systematic ll
4in Anderson powerpipe
Pro m 80mm

42#. You will over cycle the 30# injectors

Don't get crappy chinese Pro Comp heads. Get a set of TFS or AFR heads and do it right the first time
Make sure your valve springs match your cam
I would get a 90MM MAF
Go at leat 80MM on the TB
What compression pistons- you should also make sure they match your heads- inline or canted valve and corresponding reliefs
What head gaskets
You will also need a tune with that cam
AOD or stick
what stall converter
what rear end gears

Thanks for the reply Mike . The heads I have now we're bought bare and send to get work done but I do agree I rather get something good , I'm going to end up doing that down the line that's why I want to buy some of the parts that will make me achieve 475 . It's a Manuel t5 I already order the tb 75mm should I return for a 80mm? And for head gasket I have already in there the felpro 9333 I was thinking about getting a bama chip from American muscle .

If you build the engine the way you list now, 30's will be fine.
If you over size them, it will need to be tuned, then when you change the heads it will need to be tuned again.
I've seen guys run 30's at 450rwhp naturally aspirated and I know from experience they will support 425rwhp(NA)
I can't say for sure where those heads are going to fall, but my guess would be 375rwhp or less.
Be careful how much work the machine shop puts into those heads, they really aren't a good investment at any level.
This is going to sound really bad, but if you gave them to me for free, I would invest zero in them and sell them as is.

lol I appreciate the honesty man I'm most definitely going to end up getting some nice AFR . What kind of brand would you suggest for injectors I don't want to buy something that is going to leak in a week or two after install .

EV1 injectors are almost all the same.
I used ford red top 30's that I got cheap because they came on supercoupe's way back.
I think I paid like $5 an injector.

Injectors rarely go bad, at most they need a pintle and cap kit ($3 at pepboys)

Never ever ever buy a bama chip. Ever.

Go to a real dyno and get a real tune done.

I have a bama chip with a tune for 30lb injectors for a 90mm lightning works with an a9l ecu.....

It's still in a box because I can't bring myself to continue the cycle of bad tunes.

I'm prob going to go on American muscle and buy some of those accel they have for sale or something .

Wow that sucks . What to you have to tune your car ?

I wanted to run a stand alone but they are super expensive . Are they any respectable chips out there ? How do you like the megasquirt ?
I love mine but you need to do some research before you just jump in. I can build my own electronic circuits are you able to research and solder your own components? Can you learn? Take a look at the software (it's free) can you decipher what it all means? Can you figure it out using a manual to research the settings?

These are all questions you need to ask yourself before you buy any standalone.

Not sure where you heard the cam needs tuning, but I've run cams from mild to wild never tuned a thing in 25 years.
I've seen (in person) the stock computer ran up to 650rwhp without ever tuning anything.
Even seen a 347 goto nearly 8000rpm with an R block, solid lifters and cam with just a motorsport rpm extender.
Remember, dyno's didn't go mainstream until 1996+ (3 years after the foxbody was out of production), so before then you just used the right meter with the right injectors and it ran, if you assembled it correctly...

Thanks for all the info this is my first time messing with a mustang engine . I wanted to ask a question when I tried to start the engine it gave me some issue trying to keep idle with out dying out, I'm guessing it was b.c I had the stock tb , maf and injectors , it did not want to start at all .
