Frank I saw this ad in Racing Junk. The pic in the ad looks an awful lot like a pic of your stock engine in it's custom stand that I'd seen before. This can't be your engine, can it?

that pic is definitely of Frank's engine and stand but he lives in El Paso. me smell's a scam going here.

I know Frank lives in TX but I didn't want post a scam alert in case I was mistaken, hence the wording of the title and post. Thanks for confirming my suspicions Bryan.
If you look at the phone number in the add it's over 10 digits long and is mostly 9's. Hopefully nobobdy falls for this.

no problem, i don't want anyone thinking that is actually Frank selling them if it's really not and unless he sold the engine and stand or moved to DC without me knowing it, it's definitely a scam

In the description it said the reason for the sale is that the Boss it came out of was rusted beyond repair. Definitely not Frank's car.

Chris, Brian, Robert, & Capt Dan, thanks for the posts. I had not logged on here for a while and while checking my recent for sale items I noticed this thread.

I can't see the ads anymore, but you guys already figured out I was not selling.

It feels awesome when people I have never met, feel the need to be concerned about fellow members on this site and others in the hobby.

I hope to meet you guys one day, chit chat about cars, and have a few rounds of beer

Yeah, it was one of those fancy round tube Engine/Trans Stand Silver in color & and really clean 351 Boss w/ Blue valve covers also a silver (I think) Trans......

....If my memory serves me right....

yeah it was the pic of the B-351 and trans on that cool stand of yours from the rear 3/4 view. i remember that pic well and actually have it saved to my hard drive because i like the stand so much. i may have to build one for the 69 cougars original engine if i decide to build up another block and keep the coug driveable until it's done, haven't made up my mind yet because i don't even have the car at home yet. should have it home shortly after the new year, hopefully sometime in february. gotta put the stang on the market too about then.
