OK in the future i plan on getting a Trick Flow Street heat manifold, but for atleast 6 or 7 months im going to be stuck with the stock one....so my question is since i already have a 70mm TB laying around here would it HURT or HELP me to go ahead and install it with my stock manifold and cold air??? alot of people say it will help and i have also heard it will hurt me so.................??? what do you all think?

Yep. Putting a 70mm tb on a 60mm opening creates a 10mm wall for air to hit and disrupt flow. That is pretty dumb. You have to port match the inlet to do it right. The 70mm tb will work fine on your tfs intake when you get it.

You have to port match your inlet to 70mm. Then when you get the tfs intake you have to spend another $10 on new tb gaskets. I say leave it off for now unless the intake isn;t comming anytime soon then do it now and break out the dremel and port match the inlet to 70mm. Do NOT do this with the upper intake still on. Take it off and then buy a new upoper intake gasket!

You don't have to port match it per say, but you need to taper it a little to ease the flow between that 10mm step up.

Here is the entire how to...
