It's amazing what you can accomplish when you know what you're doing.Ok, i know this is just another picture of a grey hood. I blocked it with 220 and it's turned out better than i might have expected it to. It's just straight as can be.
What's next? Tomorrow i'll flip it over and sand down all of those marks from the hammer hitting it and reseam seal it. Then, sometime next week, block it one last time with 320 and i'll shoot it at last! Geez! That was easy.....
BTW, anyone know where to get an emissions sticker? I removed the old one obviously.
So i did something, i got the jamb sanded down. Tomorrow i'll reseam seal it.:

Masked for seam sealing. I used flowable seam sealer this time. It's so much easier to use.
I've already flipped the hood and started blocking the top side.

I guess I never really thought about it until now, but is Robby sitting all open to the elements right now? No hatch, no doors, hood, fenders... Cant remember how many of your painted parts are donor panels.
He's still sititing out there.
The only panels off of him right now are the left fender and hood. We placed a spare hood over the engine bay with a wheel on top of it to keep the internals safe from possible hail in the storms we get around here.
I got a right fender, right door, deck lid and both bumpers off of donor vehicles, of course those panels are finished and the hood will be painted this friday. Early next week i intend to take the driver's door off Robby and put it through the mill too. That's the last panel to do before getting the car itself and make it into a running, driving vehicle.
Getting there is the best i can say. It'll be nice having the entire front end done when i paint the hood.
BTW, i did finish prepping the hood for paint today. Tomorrow will be a busy customer vehicle day, so i have to wait till friday to shoot it.
