Progress Thread 88 Gt T-top- Project problem child

Everything was going along good for me till this:

I'm just not a member of chrome/polished tailpipe crowd
great job though! :nice:
carry on.

He’s got the cobra valence which exposes the pipes. At that point they have to be chrome/ polished, IMO. GT’s with stock valence that have them hidden is another story.

Took a spin around the block to start checking drivability. So far so good, just some exhaust rattles and something is rubbing one of the tires. Feels good to have a whole car again. Gonna pound out the detail stuff and get her on the road

Car is legal and I officially drove it further than the end of the block.

I have 3 things I gotta deal with.

1. My throttle cable is getting hung up and keeping throttle high ( for sure the cable)

2. Parking brake cable needs a few more zip ties to clear rear tires .

3. Rear end has a clunk when braking.

Minus that, she seemed fine. I’ll get to wrenching tomorrow hoping to have her ready this weekend

Got about an hour of driving in. Tonight. Little lube on the throttle cable fixed that issue. Zip tie fixed the brake cable till I can run to the yard and get the bracket off a 94+ car.

Minus needing plugs and wires, she’s driving pretty good. She seems to stumble through some of the Rpms but not all the time. So it could be just from not driving for so long. The last time I took this car out was around the 3rd of October in 2016. 2 years 7 months for a project that I thought would take 6 months... just in time for our daughter to be born. Not sure I mentioned that, baby number 3 will be here first week of July.

Ok, the stumble was bugging me so I went out and ran the car with the lights off, had random sparks going from the wires to the ac pump and drivers side header. I believe that’s the issue. I’m also not sure if I ever changed these plugs and wires... like ever. Oops.
