Eh, I've been referring to my car as "Nikki" since 1997. Big deal.

I'm with Mike on this more or less. Although I don't care all that much if you refer to a car as a "he" or a "she" (full disclaimer: I sometimes do it too, just not on a regular basis), naming a car is the same for me. The difference here is I choose to stfu about it instead of dragging someone through a bunch of for it. Just saying.....

I will say that the thread title is a little confusing. I mean I thought that maybe it was your wife's/daughter's/girlfriend's (or some other "she") car.

Ah, I do see the confusion there. Never thought about that. Well, if I paint it red, my wife may decide to claim it!!

Had the GT taken to the fab shop this afternoon. Probably be there a bit having all the suspension work done. Which will then lead to the axle upgrade, then to the fuel system, then the brakes...... and maybe by March or so will have the motor and trans put in!!!

Found crappy workmanship on the cage, so having it removed and a new chromoly cage built. Just ordered the 35 spline Strange axles with c-clip eliminators and full spool. Trying to be patient and get all the suspension and structural reinforcements done before getting motor put together and installed, but very anxious to hear her run..... But, im going to take time and have everything done right. Goal is to have the car be capable of 600+ hp by time we install drivetrain. Then when I have an after market block built, the car will be able to handle the power, and wont have to go back and redo anything.

Nope, just another one of my personal peeves. It’s a word thing for me. Using “she“ to describe a car, gets lumped right into my list of “ Car guy word references” I’ll put it at the top

1. She ( when referencing anything that isn’t female)
2. Prolly
3. Tranny
4. Chunk
5. Dizzy

Feel free to use all of those in a sentence to routinely get the same reaction from me as dragging your fingernails across a chalkboard would.

6. For Sell....
7. Timming
8. Tunning...
Etc.

Funny to think about it, but the '93 Reef is actually a higher horsepower build then this one, but this one will be set up strictly for strip. Going to see if my 15yr old wants to race this one. He rode with me in 1/8th in my '77 383 Camaro strip car I had, and enjoyed it.

Cage is all done now. The axles are getting ready to go in along with the spool. Ends up we are going to have to go with a coil over set up on the front. The kit should be in tomorrow. Now I have these BMR lowering springs that can not be used. Haven't hit too many road bumps yet, so feeling pretty good about the build. Oh, and got awesome news the other day, the drag strip that is 2 miles from my house is about to reopen. It has been closed down the last few years!!
