Progress Thread '89 GT build thread....formerly known as "Her"

Cage is all done now. The axles are getting ready to go in along with the spool. Ends up we are going to have to go with a coil over set up on the front. The kit should be in tomorrow. Now I have these BMR lowering springs that can not be used. Haven't hit too many road bumps yet, so feeling pretty good about the build. Oh, and got awesome news the other day, the drag strip that is 2 miles from my house is about to reopen. It has been closed down the last few years!!
Well it doesn't have 3.75 gears, they are 3.55s. Which should be ok still for what the build will be.

6. For Sell....
7. Timming
8. Tunning...
Etc.
9. Manuel in it. (Not a Manual transmission.) Are they selling a friend or mechanic with the car?
Naming the car based on it’s paint color can work. But this year, you will have to be careful with white. White Lightning would still work if it lives up to the name. Blue Streak will work with pin striping and when it breaks.

All suspension and reinforcement work is done. Steering rack and custom column all in as well.
Now have to decide which route im going to go with power adder. Have a turbo set up and also a nitrous kit. The track opening back up 3 miles from the house will be doing bracket racing. Hear that spray is a more consistant run over turbo set ups. If going spray, will run carbed, if turbo will run my super sniper efi.

So then,...All of the work being done that you’re posting is being done by a shop? You are doing nothing yourself?
We learn what from this?
Any welding is outta my abilities. Along with fact do not have a garage. Have pulled an engine in the pasture once, not doing that again. Will be building the motor in our small shop, installing fuel tank, running all fuel lines and electric and anything else that can be done with hand tools in a gravel driveway. So, actually a lot can be learned in the conditions available.

I have to ask, how did you hoist the engine in the pasture? An engine hoist/crane is out since the wheels would sink, and I have other guesses the city folk might not know about.

Getting there!! Have to finish up the heads assembly next. Cam installed, head studs and heads, lifters dog bones and spider, timing chain and oil pump all on.
