Im putting a 90 mustang motor into a 78 cobra and need some info on the flex plate. I have the original bell housing and flex plate but am worried about throwing the balance off on the 90 motor with the 78 plate. Any helpis greatly appreciated! Also, it is a C-4 going behind it all. I know there have been a ton of c4 swaps on fox bodies, but just cant find someone to pick brains

There is a difference between the balance on the two motors. The first issue is to determine what bell housing you are using. if its the Large or Small bellhousing you can using more common flexplates. if its the "tiny" mustang II bell housing you will need a 50oz balance 141 tooth flexplate. I read somewhere that B&M makes a 50oz balance part in this size, the alternative is to have the original rebalanced.

Art-Carr makes a 141 tooth flexplate 50oz balance for around $140.00. That is where I got mine from.
