True story
Even a 7,5 crush sleeve will bull work the piss out of you
The 900 bucks... 700 of it is to crush the sleeve correctly
I used to get them started in the press
I forgot to mention the pinion holding tool you need to buy or fabricate
Ford pinion depth tools cost thousands
And you need different tools for each axle
I have no complete set except for the Dana 60
Most shops and techs take an educated guess as to the pinion shim needed
Me included

Yeah, no doubt MM. I had some bruises on me for a few weeks after doing that job. I was pretty amazed at the force required to crush the sleeve, to the point I had major flex on my breaker bar and large 1/2" snap on ratchet. I thought something was going to snap/fail multiple times and smack me in the face, lol. Thankfully that didn't happen and the end product is good, but it was sketchy for sure.
and tq wrench, bluing.
"...have a shop do it..."
good idea.
It would B great to have a friend do it so U could watch/learn.
Glad U will not do it urself.
