red bluff
i let the car warm then ran a test, these are the codes i pulled up on the ford obd1 scan tool,
book shows these
543, fuel pump secondary circuit fault
212 loss of ignition diagnostic monitor signal/SPOUT circuit grounded
118 engine coolant temperature sensor above max voltage

from my understandings there is 2 coolant senors on the car?
im unsure about the 212 code for the Spout not sure what it is or how to check/replace that.
fuel pump circuit fault. would guess i can ohm test the fuel pumps? what should they be at? is that a sign a fuel pump going out??

The coolant temperature is above the thermostat housing and on that black heater line going to the firewall.

Here is mine, I cut the heater pipe and capped it off as I don't run heat (in Florida) but that is the sensor to the right (see 1st pic below).

The 212 code usually means the spout connector is not plugged in. When you set timing you have to pull that grey plug then put it back in. If it's missing it usually signals the 212. See second pic of the spout.

The 543 fuel pump code. Your pump is either coming on or it's not (really no in between). Clear this code and see if comes back again.

If it's missing you'll have to buy a new one. In pic I sent above it's that little grey are on top. You pull that out of the connector to set timing. People always forget to put it back.

Check to see if yours is missing. If it is you can buy them from LMR.

Ok thank you, ill check when the sun is up. any place like autozone or somewhere carry them? or would it need ordered like lmr or somewhere?

Not sure if AZ or a local AP would have in stock, doubtful. Probably can order it from them which then it'll take the same time if you ordered from LMR or CJ Pony. Could call your Ford dealership to see if in stock, probably be twice as much.
