I have a chance to buy a 95 GT Black 5spd leather 90,000 miles. Its a friends car he is willing to sell it to me for $3,500. Has BBK cold air, Flowmaster exhaust, 3:73's, cobra r's and eibach springs. I just sold my 92 Talon 11 sec 1/4s. But have been interested in 5.0's since I was able to drive. Just Curious around what mpg's do you guys surf around. Also If I do purchase it I have $1000 to put into it right away. What would you guys suggest.

Looks very sharp if the body is clean.. I paid 10 000$ CND (~9000$ US) for my 95 GTS 4 years ago... And it was one of the cheapest around here

I would grab it. Black would have been my first choice. Im getting 15-17 mpg.I think stock I was getting maybe 20 or a little more(2:73 gears). I hope you understand your going to burn up the petrol a lot more then the Talon did, you gotta pay if you wanna play! First mod go for a decent set of heads and intake, or at least upgrade the valve springs and go with 1:7 rockers to get a little more lift,. Get the car though, it sounds like a good price.

No sorry NJ. Well I honestly think I will end up picking it up tommarow. Well My concern Is matchin everthing up properly. For instence I get a cam. But how will the car be reacting with no supporting mods (mani, heads?). If I do get It my goal would Have to be low 11's. Gotta try and beat my brother. Just cause we both used to always talk **** to muscles since most thought we just had some fart can. Worked out for us $$$$ suckers. Now if I have one gotta back it up or he will be relantless.

dont even worry about a cam untill (if) you do the heads. main restriction is the stock lower intake. a cobra intake would be best for a mostly stock engine. if you plan on doing a lot to the motor you can pickup the trickflow top end kit (heads, cam, intake, rockers, pushrods, timing chain. pretty much everything you need to make 350hp except injectors) summit lists it at around 2grand

To make an 11 second car .... you are going to need more than a H/C/I with stock block. You'll either need more displacement ..... or a power adder. Maybe both ......

Got any pics/vids of this Talon?

EDIT: BTW .... you'd be crazy to pass that deal up. Also, if you want an 11 second Stang .... you SHOULD NOT be concerned with fuel economy. It won't be good.

Good choice on the 5.0, I also recently sold my 2g awd and got my 5.0. It's definitly not the same and at times I miss the awd but you'll love it just as much, I promise!

if you want to make decent power theres a company down in florida called promotion down in florida that modifies ford racing clutches. if your staying mostly stock for a while i recomend a king cobra or HD kit

Ok I was told the king cobra was a nice clutch as well by others. But how much will it hold up to. Whats the breakin point. Does it hold back 350whp? And Yes It is an external HKS. come on now gotta have it

Sorry, I can't help you on the clutch .... I've never used a KC or KC HD. I run a kevlar coated FRPP clutch.

"The Dark Side", lol. It's cool .... I have a friend that has 2 GSX's and a GST that he plays with .... but when it comes to track time, he brings out the 347 stroker Fox body. They're ALL nice cars ... so who cares.

Again, it sounds like a steal on the GT. That's how I bought mine. It needed a clutch, so the guy told me to give hime $3,500. Next few days, I had the clutch in and it ran PERFECT. $3K sounds even better .... you won't regret it. Also, you are officially on the BEST board on the internet. This 94-95 group is the greatest group of guys & gals out there.

Its offical I own the car. Its at our shop now. Trans is out, oil is drained, coolant drained, CAI removed being painted to black (chromes alittle to flashy for my style) and filter replaced. Well he was wrong the clutch is fine throw out bearing is squekin (probably going to replace clutch anyway since i am in there for the seal). Also going to replace rear main is leakin alittle. Heres a part list of things I think I am going to order tommarow.

1. Ac delete
2. UD pull's
3. serp belt
4. Clutch
5. Pro 5.0 shifter
6. head light replacement
7. new air filter
8. rear main

Good to see you climb into a car with American V8 muscle

The fact that its a Stang is all the better

Sounds like a good find

I can get 19mpg on short trips
