96 to 04 a arms on a fox body??

Are you talking about *94* to '04 FCAs (lower control arms).
Or, 96-04 spindles?

Yes, you "can" use either on a Fox. You "can" do a lot of things. But, it's NOT a 100% direct swap by any means at all!!
Many other factors and things would then need to be done/changed to use either the sn95 FCAs or the 96-04 spindles.

I had the sn95 FCAs on my '86 for a few months. So, I have direct real experience with an car that I WANT to keep 100% stock fenders on.

Sn95 FCAs do widen the track, that's good. But, you'll need CC plates, a special MM bumpsteer kit, and either run thin cheap *ss POS tires or modify your fenders.

Also, sn95 FCAs further lower a Fox car because of the bottom of the spring gets moved out further. And, you'd need sn95 struts because of the length increase.


So, can you use sn95 FCAs on a fox? Yup, you sure can!:)

A few people do. It makes sense for an auto-x/OT car. IMHO, it makes zero sense for a street car, or if you don't want to push out and maybe trim your front fenders to allow for tire clearance (even for the stock 225 tire).

I've posted a few times about this topic on the corral. IMHO, because "it's possible" does not mean it makes sense. But, some people don't care if they take a sawsall to their front fenders. What ever!

IMHO, that's their view. The outer body of my '86 is still 100% stock from the factory (other than paint and bodyshop rust/bondo fixes).
That's my choice for my car. Yes, even the cr*ppy hood to fender fitting is as it was from when it came from factory.

They will bolt into a fox K-frame, but you gotta pass on those bro! The ball joint is placed 1-1/2" further out than fox bodies, so the wheels will stick out past the fenders. It will look stupid and will not alignm properly. Just get the fox a-arms, or have someone press in new bushings and ball joints in your current a-arms. I did that and it saved me a lot of moeny vs. buying new assys.
 
i'll skip the newer a arms, as far as money goes that at this point isnt as much of an issue as the downtime for the car. the reasoni keep leaning towards new a arms from MM either tubular or not is because i want to be able to just unbolt the old ones and bolt up the new ones. anyone with ideas that would be faster than this im all ears :)
