I just spoke with Mike from UPR. Really nice and helpful guy. For the past few days I have been trying to decide how to spend $350 dollars.Here is the kit that I am looking at
* Throttle Body, Plenum, Spacer and Cold Air Kit Package
* Ford Racing 70mm Throttle Body part # M-9926-D462
* Shark Upper Intake Plenum includes hardware and improves airflow
* Internal air interrupter has yielded as much as 45-50 CFM over other plenums
* 1/2" Thick intake/plenum spacer w/nitrous ports
* Lightweight Polished Aluminum Cold Air kit
* Gains of up to 35 HP have been seen with this package
And under drive pulleys.

The list price on the kit is $249.99 before the underdrive pulleys.
I told him my concerns that I have never heard of that plenum and wanted to know how it compared to the C&L. He didn't know the numbers but said they had had alot of success with it. He also said for me to give him a call tomorrow and he would see if he couldn't make me a better price on the package and would see what he could do price wise including the underdrive pulleys. One thing that I don't like is the kit does not come with any gaskets.

Any input would be great.

1. Me personally would never use an intake spacer as place to put nitrous, very dangerous, save and get a direct port injection kit.

2. 35 Hp's are a bit optimistic and maybe rounded up a bit, who knows how and what conditions they tested this stuff.

3. When you get as large of air intake as you are getting be prepared to lose alot of HPs when the air is hot and humid but, on the flip side when the air is nice and dense, the car is gonna feel like you have every bolt on possible. Have fun, hope your putting this stuff on your self. Good experinence.:flag: my.02

Direct port is the safest, but an intake spacer-type of nitrous injection is the next best, with the least desireable being in the air intake. The spacer is bolted down, does not hit any bends in the air intake or plenum, isn't interrupted by the throttle body blade, etc.

BUT the key thing to do is get a plate that is made SPECIFICALLY for nitrous use. UPR's plate is an intake spacer with holes drilled into it, and a spray bar if I remember correctly. Not ideal.

But I agree, I doubt you'll see 35hp out of this.

And also, I'm not a fan of the Shark plenum. I don't like the idea of moving (or adjustable) parts in my intake... no thanks.

My other option that I have looked at is the C&L plenum, Stack 75 mm throttle body, replacing my paper filter with a K&N and removing the air silencer. Also what about a 70mm throttle body vs the 75mm?

I would go w/the 75mm, its not a big difference, keeps you from buying a larger one if you go Forced air but, there are people running 90mm w/forced air, don't lose sleep over your Throttle body. Do your search on the throttle body, your gonna get conflicting opinions on the throttle body all day.

Yea, your probaly right, You Tubing nitrous back fire has got me shook, watching a Cobra w/metal lower intake; destroying his hood, upper intake, and lower just kinda took me out of the nitrous look. Plus I was lead to beleive that one would want to get the car tuned to run richer w/a dry kit and leaner with a wet kit, and others say the computer would adjust.:shrug: I would just save and get F/I.
